Threatening a foreign citizen (and former PM no less) with

    1. Invasion of his home country
    2. Expelling him from that country
    3. Forcing him into manual labor in another country (which also is currently independent)

That is insane, even as a joke.

I find it hilarious that the little bitch-boy thinks he has any ground to speak to a respected world leader who served as PM for just shy of a decade.

Also, Trudeau in all his good-natured gentleness would absolutely fuck Shapiro up one-on-one.

They spin everything as whatever is convenient for them.

A jewish person that supports them being attacked? Antisemitism.

A jewish person that doesnt support them is attacked? Sounds like a dumb lib got what they deserved.

A woman that supports them is being attacked? Misogyny.

A woman exists in the ‘wrong’ space? thats DEI

A man expresses emotions while disagreeing with them? What a soft emotional baby.

A woman exists, with a valid complaint about men? What about men’s emotions and loneliness?

What about men’s emotions and loneliness? Well i mean you just have to work out and pull yourself up by your bootstraps.

Ive seen it all and its pretty consistent in messaging. They pretend to care about men’s issues, but don’t. They pretend that only democrats hate men, but the truth is they dont give a shit about anyone that isnt on their side already, and even then its only so far as they can control the mass messaging and manipulate people into voting against their own class.

The constant miasma of social media messaging makes it nearly impossible to get past surface level stuff.

Let us all remember that when the Soviet Union fell, they did not end the Cold War, they just changed tactics.

It’s well known that their most effective tactic for destabilizing a nation is to pour resources into boosting both sides of every debate or social issue, this poisons the well so nobody knows what’s real and just defaults to whatever the controlling party says is real. It’s an astoundingly effective tactic for killing the spread of news and information that people could use to organize, and sowing infighting and distrust between potential oppositional groups.

They are doing a very similar tactic right now, by boosting absurdism like the whole narrative of an “armed takeover of Canada” as if that’s even possibly a thing. Casual browsers know somewhere in the back of their mind that it’s absurdism, but they hang on every word because it’s sensational.

This is WWE theater. Like the whole administration since the beginning, it’s designed to spin stories to keep dumb fucks engaged and wondering what’s going to happen next, simultaneously believing in the stories but also knowing logically it’s not true. Literally the same cognitive dissonance that made us have to argue with our friends back in the 90’s that no, the World Wrestling Federation is NOT employing actual necromancers, that no, it’s not a real sport, no the performers would not be allowed to bring swords and weapons into the ring if it was real.

USA has no actual intention of taking over countries like Canada and Panama, they just want to make some huge distraction and sensational story, so that when they change interest rates or deregulate some banking laws, nobody will notice. We’ll all be here arguing with each other if it’s even possible for the USA to “take over” a neighboring nation, with the same earnestness that we used to explain that using a steel chair in a sporting event could be considered disqualifying in normal circumstances.

This isn’t to say the rhetoric isn’t dangerous, but what they’re doing financially is going to be far more damaging to our actual future in America.

Russians aren’t super geniuses. Trump is certainly not a super genius either. And we saw Putin make the completely stupid move of invading Ukraine.

Not saying the US will definitely do something like invade Canada. But when a country is run by idiots, we can’t really predict anything they might do.

How “genius” do you think it is to pay several hundred volunteers to get on forums and act like americans and inflame every conversation they can find by taking the most extreme positions? How genius do you think you need to be to pay some programmers to make you an army of bots? How much brainpower do you need to break things?

Human beings are terrible judges of literally anything happening outside their own perception range, which is why you have so many simultaneously contradictory feelings about the motivations of others, either it’s all a huge conspiracy involving JFK and aliens and Roswell, or it’s absolutely nothing at all and we’re all getting “worked up over nothing” while for reasons I still cannot explain… fucking ignoring the realistic middle fucking ground where actual political operations take place.

      There are genuinely intellectual conservatives

      There are not.

Conservatism is ingroup loyalty as a theory-of-everything. They’ll invent whatever pretense is necessary to promote the hierarchy of their guys over our guys, because they think that’s all there is to reality, let alone all there is to argument. To be a conservative is to be in this form of tribe.

The smarter ones invent better bullshit. That bullshit tricks people who are not doing performative loyalty. Some of us argue against it, like the answer would change who they’re loyal to - some of us argue for it, because ‘what the loyalists really mean’ is desirable, regardless of the unrelated awful shit they keep doing instead.

You’re describing people who bought and defended the bullshit. Actual conservatives now call them communist traitors. They don’t fucking care what they said yesterday. They don’t understand why you do.

Conservatives will abandon any idea, in favor of loyalty. They do not believe ideas. They believe people. If their top guy says the sky is green, you better fucking agree with him, and make up some bullshit to explain why - or you’re saying he doesn’t belong on top. Disagreement and disloyalty are the same thing, in conservatism. Nothing they do makes sense until you understand this.

Reagan’s success was convincing the Democrats to under-correct and fully buy-into trickle-down neoliberalism for decades. That way, when people get fed up with it, a Republican gets to claim to be a third option against all those mainstream globalists who’s going to bring jobs back to America. The marks don’t recognize it was the Republican’s who started it in the first place.

Absolutely this. Bill Clinton was Reagan lite and it wasn’t until Obama’s grass roots campaign that the centrist Democrats were challenged. Hillary thought she could do what Bill did and appeal to “moderate Republicans” and that backfired because she alienated the left of the party and Bernie picked up that thread and ran with it.

America is currently waiting and sleeping through the time when a civil war or attacking the terrorists is possible. Germany would never have escaped the clutches of the Nazis without outside help. The stupid thing about a world power, however, is that once it has reached this status, nothing helps. Technology is now so advanced that it is no longer a problem.

They are too fucking ignorant of history to understand that by replacing experienced, intelligent leadership with loyalists who believe their own propaganda, is that they have given their opposition the gift of competence. Bullshit.

The downfall of the Nazis was because they attacked Russia but were in no way prepared for the Russian winter. Where many soldiers simply froze to death (one must not forget meth or Panzerschokolade). This means that soldiers who are overtired do not realize that when they are tired, the body no longer works at 100%, making it more susceptible to cold and producing less heat). This mass death from the cold gave the USSR the opportunity not to be overrun and to push back the Nazis. Had it not been for the winter, the USSR would have fallen. America would have had an enemy over a much larger area (this was all before the Americans were able to seize all the knowledge of the Germans), the Germans were already close to completing the atomic bomb… as well as stealth airplanes etc. Believe me, if so many had not frozen to death in the East (fortunately) it would all have ended very differently.

The “no foreign intervention” line is pretty nonsensical when the Nazis collapsed from foreign bodies entering their heads at high velocity.

Yes, it happened because they were moronically arrogant and started a war they couldn’t win, but there’s literally nothing more worthy of the term intervention than someone killing your ass.

The arrogance does not cause the collapse. The reaction to the arrogance causes it.

Hitler’s meddling in military policy and fixation on impractical ideas had a big effect in hamstring ing the Nazi war effort.

They had everyone ready to appease them at the start, but they kept going.

The arrogance causes our reaction which causes the collapse.

I understand and agree with your point that the arrogance is both their motivation and downfall, I just don’t agree that it should be phrased as arrogance causing their defeat itself.

The Nazis weren’t beaten because they were arrogant. The people they hurt and tried to hurt have their own agency, and it was their choices and actions that beat the Nazis.

That’s important. It takes deliberate effort to beat fascism, from everyone opposed to it.

Lol no. Check the link. The collapse began with russian winter… Cause most died there. This and just this was the beginn of the collaps. Your comment feals the pretty arrogang american way.

Before you think up something again. Yes, the Americans and Russians are partly responsible for the downfall of the Nazis and without their active intervention the collapse would never have happened. But without the mass deaths caused by the winter, it wouldn’t have helped either.

Yeah just like the “bank run” on FTX wasn’t what caused it to go bankrupt, it was actually the owner’s hubris.

In much the same way that the fire didn’t burn the house down, it was the tenant buying matches four days earlier.

If you’re willing to go that many levels down to get to the root cause of an event you might as well say the nazis being humans is what caused the collapse.
