What shortcomings do you tolerate about your partner?

This isn't a thread to bash your SO. I just want to know what downfalls they have that you tolerate.

Mine is a bit vanilla in bed for my taste. We've discussed exploring different sexual adventures, but he ever gives me much more than "oh I dont know " or "whatever " when I suggest something out of the norm. Its like he's uncomfortable talking about it and im not sure how to adress that.

Literally the only critique I have for my husband lol.

Are you my wife?

Hahaha. Considering my husband doesn't have reddit and has been asleep next to me for the last hour, I doubt it. Lol. However, if you two have the same mindset, any advice on how to get him to open up about the nasty no no? Lol

Idk. It’s tough. My wife has said she wants me to be more assertive and just “take her” sometimes. But whenever I’ve tried she’s not in the mood or to tired. So I stopped trying. We just have our weekly Netflix and vanilla Sex sessions. At least we have that... Many married couples have zero Sex.

So, my only thought would be, tell him what you want, and if he tries do your best to support his advances even if the mood or timing is off for you. I’m sure he will get more in tune as time goes on - like anything else - practice makes perfect. At least that’s what I think would be the case for me.

You gotta lay the groundwork dude. Be sexy, be caring, be seductive and commit to some light foreplay and be ready for none of it to work. But you cant just run in cold with a boner and you have to keep trying. Talk about it later fail or win with the goal of being productive

Have you considered nonmonogamy?

Have you considered that your suggestion is dumb?
