will nyc accept me as politically moderate

I am not looking for conflict or any debate discussing in this subreddit. I plan to move to nyc without any political intensions. Since we live in a society or people judge you based on your political views, I genuinely want to know if most of New Yorkers accept people that may not fit with their views, so they can "fit in". Insult comments are not needed.
