ELO has so many great songs. Their greatest hits is amazing
A lot of people just know Mr Blue Sky, which is on a lot of commercials and stuff. But Living Thing, Last Train To London, Showdown, so many catchy songs.
I believe it was John Lennon who said that if the Beatles kept going, they'd probably have sounded like ELO. That's why George Harrison worked with the frontman in with Bob Dylan and all the others with that super band later on.
Not a song, but a mantra. I just watched this show called Perpetual Grace LTD and Ben Kingsley has this mantra. I've been in a rut lately, my marriage failing, I lost my job. Everything sucks and it's hard to find the motivation to do anything.
"Get it. Get the rhythm. Get the rhythm. There we go. There we fuckin' go".
Invariably, during some part of the day, my brain will hook into some part of that quote and put it on repeat. It's keeping me moving and getting shit done.
Yes! Literally at this very second lol. I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2 again last week and after hearing it in the intro I haven't been able to get it out of my head. I ended up listening to it on repeat so many times in the last few days I now know all the words 😂
That was the final song played at a close friends funeral a couple of weeks ago after he took his own life. I will forever associate it now with the love for him that was shown by all that attended, and the moment the song started the clouds just disappeared and we walked out under a beautiful blue sky.... Thank you for making me have a happy/sad smile..
