One of those looping time prisons from the Loki series, though instead of getting kicked in the balls it’s that time he got booed at a sports game and looked like he was about to cry.
They’re probably referring to him showing up to the Nationals 2019 World Series game. He was heavily booed, they tried slipping a shot of veterans in between shots of him to get the crowd to cheer, but the crowd caught it, cheered for the vets, and went back to immediately booing him
I'm an overly empathetic person so this would be a rough watch.
To be so egocentric, so focused on your legacy, that you betray all manner of decency just to become President. And then, finally, when all eyes are focused on you, you're slowly forced to realize that you can't live up to your own hype. That the only thing that gleams in that lonely spotlight is the overwhelming glare of your own incompetence. Yikes.
Honestly reminds me of Citizen Kane (funny enough, Trump's favorite movie). Trump will live out his days in a decaying, dust-gathering Mar-a-lago just like his favorite character lived out his final days in a vast, empty castle.
I’ve got a feeling Citizen Kane is his favorite movie only because he heard someone once say it’s the greatest movie ever made. There no way he understands what it’s about.
I sort of agree. I think it’s his favorite movie because he really identifies with Kane and thinks that the movie is about how disloyalty and bad press are some of the few things that can keep a great man from accomplishing great things. I don’t think he gets the actual point of the movie at all hahah
Maybe I’m a monster, but the thought of him feeling utter shame and incompetence for not living up to his father’s expectations - since that’s what I believe is his core motivation - makes me feel satisfaction.
Both he and his father hurt so many people, including his older brother, in so many ways, that I find it impossible to have empathy for him since he’s had no empathy for others.
Years ago I volunteered with inmates, facilitating a support group. I learned ways to tell if someone was being genuine or just gaming the system.
I didn’t care if someone was gaming the system, because the system sucks, but I cared about whether someone was up front about doing so, and especially whether they were hurting someone else in the process.
I had to protect those who were being hurt, so I had to figure out who had zero empathy for others.
The hardest part to come to terms with was letting go of how I felt about someone so I could have them removed from the group, and that meant I couldn’t feel sorry for them going back into general population.
They were warned. They knew the consequences, but they couldn’t or wouldn’t put themselves in someone else’s place above getting something they wanted.
I feel the same way about trump. He did this to himself, he’s no victim of the system, he’s all in favor of the system. He’d just end up getting what he wanted people to get.

A crowd booing all of his ideas every time he does a rally.
