“I really mean it. It will be interesting. And I would think that’s their favorite food. So we’ll see what happens.”
I'd love to know why he thinks elite athletes' favourite food would be fast food burgers. I want to see the step-by-step process that gets him to that conclusion.
It’s not really that complicated. He thinks it’s their favorite food because it’s his favorite food. He only sees the world through his own perspective. He lacks empathy as a narcissist.
Related: Are there pictures of Trump ever eating anything healthy? Hell, the only time I ever saw him NEAR anything healthy was that fucked up Goya beans business and those cans were closed.
They are botanically, yes, and they are healthy, but health authorities don't really consider them one because they're mainly starch and eaten in place of something like rice or pasta.
Never. It's a running joke that republican officials eat like shit and have zero taste. First one that comes to mind is the Michael Caputo lobster tweet. It's kind of amazing how disgusting they made lobster look hahaha
I'm not a lobster expert but I'd send that back. It looks rotten.
Edit: I'm reminded of the comic book Get Jiro. It's a weird future dystopian story but by god, they respect food. Even the fascists. One guy got -un- mugged because the crooks found he had a reservation for a nice restaurant.

To be fair Get Jiro was written by Anthony Bourdain.
Also canned beans are not, like, particularly healthy. More so than prepared foods and definitely fast food. But in terms of raw ingredients, canned will always have way more sodium and other added crap and be less nutrient dense. Canned is basically decently healthy when convenience is the main factor (budget, shelf life, etc).
Theres very little trump could do that would surprise me anymore, but seeing proof of him consuming a fresh vegetable is one of the least likely things I can imagine.
The extra salt is just for preservation - rinsing the beans gets rid of a lot of the added sodium. Also, even though they're technically less nutrient-dense than fresh or frozen cooked beans, they still have almost the same level of nutrients and more than enough for adequate nutrition.
I want to see the step-by-step process that gets him to that conclusion.
"I like McD, I'm the Leader of American, Athletes are the 2nd best Americans (behind me), If I, the number 1 American like McD, then the number 2 must too."
My guess: Football players are regular Joes. Regular Joes laugh at catered fancy food. Get them something every American thinks of as comfort food, like I do.
Bonus round (hamberders): Lemme Tweet how proud I am of the idea on the phone I turned off spellchecking on, because who does this phone think it is to correct me?
That's because nothing sums up the Trump ideology more than a big Mac presented on fine China, particularly if you defrauded the person who sold you the China.
I mean gold is more applicable cause id unwrap the gold leaf from the turd but i wouldnt bother for the glitter, its just cosmetic.
The fun of it is the gold leaf.
The shittynes the turd obv.
They were laid off that week because of yet another government shutdown (with a GOP controlled house, senate, and presidency) and you know he wasn't going to pay for a nice event out of his own pocket. I'd love to know how many people tried to talk him out of this absolutely trashy idea.
Whenever I'm speaking with people who egregiously ask "WhAt DiD TruMp eVeN doOo thAt Was thAT bAD?" rather than go for the obvious ones they'll have stupid rebuttals for (covid mismanagement or factual reasons he was impeached), I like to point out that our government was shut down for 35 days - the longest stretch ever - while republicans had complete majority.
I kind of find some of your comment misleading. Do you know the full meaning of impeached? Many think that impeached mean he was thrown out of office, but impeached means put on trial. He was impeached twice, and both times found not guilty
The House of Reps impeached twice, the Senate voted to acquit despite the impeachments.
What part of my above comment makes you think I didn't understand what impeachment was? Of course I know that he wasn't thrown out of office. It's a valid critique nonetheless.
Trump called foreign nations as sitting president attempting to illicit support for his reelection (which is illegal), and instigated an act of terror on the capital to overturn his election loss (he spoke with others who winked and nodded their way through violent rhetoric to suggestible people, then refused to attempt to stop it until far too late).
The evidence was there. The senate's choice to acquit was political theatre and closer resembles a fucking kangaroo court than an impartial jury.
Edit: I just want to say that whataboutism doesn't work normally in a logical argument and fails comically when the what about part doesn't even exist. If this video exists why have none of us been able to find it? We can still find the picture of Beyonce that was supposedly scrubbed from everywhere on the internet...
Biden represented one of several countries who was involved in that incident.
Ukraine had a specific agreement with several nations that required Ukraine to appoint a special investigator to uncover, investigate and prosecute corruption. In return for that that investigator doing his job, those other nations would provide Ukraine with foreign aid.
That prosecutor was refusing to do his job and was trying to hinder an investigation into the company that Hunter worked for.
That’s right, Biden put pressure on the Ukrainian government because the investigator was NOT investigating the company that Hunter worked for.
He wasn’t doing his job, so the nations stopped sending Ukraine aid until the Ukrainian government fired him and replaced him with a new investigator who WOULD actually do his job.
Many think that impeached mean he was thrown out of office
This isn't too relevant to the discussion but is it just me or do a lot of people say that a lot of people think this but few people actually think this? Especially after trump's impeachment
And? He was acquitted by the senate, the topic was 'what did he do that was so bad?' I still think it's pretty bad that you manage to get the fucking house to successfully impeach TWICE. Like, any other president if you got someone to bring articles of impeachment you'd probably get an overwhelming 'no' by the house bipartisan because impeachment is such a rare and extreme occurrence. The fact he wasn't removed from office doesn't mean that it going so far to doing so twice isn't a bad sign.
Serious question for you then: what do you think of Clinton's impeachment? Impeached for purgery, and found not guilty by the Democratic controlled Senate at the time.
Amusingly, he boasted about paying for the whole thing out of pocket. I think it was around $10k? As a (supposed) billionaire, $10k is literally like pocket change.
That's half true. The president pays for groceries and household goods, clothes, etc. and may elect to hire a personal chef to work there. The rest of the kitchen staff are federal employees, their furlough was the justification for sending out for fast food for the banquet.
It's not newsworthy at all, to say the least lol! Imagine a USA where THAT was the worst muck you could sling at the president: dude prefers coarse over smooth version of a condiment. Seems so far away.
Not that I would accept an invitation to Trump's White House, but... I just can't imagine how disappointed I would be to get such an invitation and have a chance to enjoy a meal prepared by world class chefs in the most powerful place on earth, only to be served fucking McDonald's that I could get any other day of the fucking week. Guy is a fucking no-class clown
Yea I probably wouldn't even end up eating any of it. They had to bring the food to the White House, then the staff puts it on trays, then the President has to get his photo op, then the players come in and likely some introductions are made first, and only THEN you can finally eat.
Those french fries are sitting in open cups... They are cold AF by the time you get to them.
Though to be honest, I much prefer living in a world where I don't need to read about what dumb, moderately fascistic shit the American president has done this week.
It also convinced me to NEVER eat at a Trump hotel. He literally had one a few blocks away that probably could have catered the event, but chose not to use them, tells me all I need to know about the quality of the food.
I think that has more to do with him being a cheapskate and loving fast food.
Also: Not sure about the one in Washington but not every Trump hotel is Trump's. He basically let some places use his name and brand, like a franchise, but that doesn't make it his.
I can't get over the fact that they COULD have just had a high end caterer bring in a sumptuous meal and none would have been the wiser, but instead this fucking imbecile decides on Mickey Dees because "It's what they are used to." I for one am amazed he didn't decide on chicken and watermelon since a lot of the visitors were going to be black. Someone must have stopped him from going that route.
“on Trump Force One there were four major food groups: McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza, and Diet Coke,” and that his boss’s go-to McDonald’s order was "two Big Macs, two Filet-o-Fishes, and a chocolate milkshake."
The fact that this guy survived getting covid is crazy. The man's luck is unreal - failing upwards his entire life.
But wait, the parenthetical addition makes it even funnier:
(After a horrified outcry, Lewandowski clarified that the 2,630-calorie meal is more healthful than it appears, because Trump makes a point of removing the buns.)
He looks that way in every staged photo. There's one where he's taking a picture with a newly orphaned baby and the baby's uncle and he's got the exact same grin and a thumbs up to boot. Like, holy shit dude. Have some self awareness.

I love how proud he is in the photo.
