That's because nothing sums up the Trump ideology more than a big Mac presented on fine China, particularly if you defrauded the person who sold you the China.
I mean gold is more applicable cause id unwrap the gold leaf from the turd but i wouldnt bother for the glitter, its just cosmetic.
The fun of it is the gold leaf.
The shittynes the turd obv.
They were laid off that week because of yet another government shutdown (with a GOP controlled house, senate, and presidency) and you know he wasn't going to pay for a nice event out of his own pocket. I'd love to know how many people tried to talk him out of this absolutely trashy idea.
Whenever I'm speaking with people who egregiously ask "WhAt DiD TruMp eVeN doOo thAt Was thAT bAD?" rather than go for the obvious ones they'll have stupid rebuttals for (covid mismanagement or factual reasons he was impeached), I like to point out that our government was shut down for 35 days - the longest stretch ever - while republicans had complete majority.
I kind of find some of your comment misleading. Do you know the full meaning of impeached? Many think that impeached mean he was thrown out of office, but impeached means put on trial. He was impeached twice, and both times found not guilty
The House of Reps impeached twice, the Senate voted to acquit despite the impeachments.
What part of my above comment makes you think I didn't understand what impeachment was? Of course I know that he wasn't thrown out of office. It's a valid critique nonetheless.
Trump called foreign nations as sitting president attempting to illicit support for his reelection (which is illegal), and instigated an act of terror on the capital to overturn his election loss (he spoke with others who winked and nodded their way through violent rhetoric to suggestible people, then refused to attempt to stop it until far too late).
The evidence was there. The senate's choice to acquit was political theatre and closer resembles a fucking kangaroo court than an impartial jury.
Edit: I just want to say that whataboutism doesn't work normally in a logical argument and fails comically when the what about part doesn't even exist. If this video exists why have none of us been able to find it? We can still find the picture of Beyonce that was supposedly scrubbed from everywhere on the internet...
Biden represented one of several countries who was involved in that incident.
Ukraine had a specific agreement with several nations that required Ukraine to appoint a special investigator to uncover, investigate and prosecute corruption. In return for that that investigator doing his job, those other nations would provide Ukraine with foreign aid.
That prosecutor was refusing to do his job and was trying to hinder an investigation into the company that Hunter worked for.
That’s right, Biden put pressure on the Ukrainian government because the investigator was NOT investigating the company that Hunter worked for.
He wasn’t doing his job, so the nations stopped sending Ukraine aid until the Ukrainian government fired him and replaced him with a new investigator who WOULD actually do his job.
Many think that impeached mean he was thrown out of office
This isn't too relevant to the discussion but is it just me or do a lot of people say that a lot of people think this but few people actually think this? Especially after trump's impeachment
And? He was acquitted by the senate, the topic was 'what did he do that was so bad?' I still think it's pretty bad that you manage to get the fucking house to successfully impeach TWICE. Like, any other president if you got someone to bring articles of impeachment you'd probably get an overwhelming 'no' by the house bipartisan because impeachment is such a rare and extreme occurrence. The fact he wasn't removed from office doesn't mean that it going so far to doing so twice isn't a bad sign.
Serious question for you then: what do you think of Clinton's impeachment? Impeached for purgery, and found not guilty by the Democratic controlled Senate at the time.
Amusingly, he boasted about paying for the whole thing out of pocket. I think it was around $10k? As a (supposed) billionaire, $10k is literally like pocket change.
That's half true. The president pays for groceries and household goods, clothes, etc. and may elect to hire a personal chef to work there. The rest of the kitchen staff are federal employees, their furlough was the justification for sending out for fast food for the banquet.
