If we could set up a Truman Show scenario where Trump thinks he’s President again and the public send in scenarios for him to deal with, what would you suggest?

“Mr Trump, China wants to colonize the moon. We have to beat them.

Nasa confirms that if we put the moon above the USA, then our astronauts could go there straight, while China, from the other side of the globe, can’t reach it because the earth is in between...”

“We need ideas on how we gonna move the moon there”

Lol. Brilliant.

He solves this by sending our entire nuclear arsenal in attempt to move the moon... two scenarios for script writers to go wild:

  1. It doesn’t work — which is what would happen IRL. Without the deterrents, China, Russia, Iran, and Venezuela team up and invade the USA. Watch meltdown.

  2. It does work... a little too well. Moon breaks into pieces. The storyline of Seveneves ensues. Global apocalypse begins.

Some other storylines:

Even if you do actually move the moon to geostationary orbit, its still the same effort to get there for all nations because you don’t get in orbit in a straight line.

the gravitational force of the moon is gonna flood the USA with a permanent tide...

You can make a wall high enough to reach the moon...

Ooooh, he’s informed he needs to build a space elevator. The only viable shape is a single helix made from a material that uses photosynthesis to power its height. Like this

And the tidal thing is gonna flood Mira Lago. Soooo... does he hate the Chinese more than he loves his property? Dilemmas, dilemmas.

It was moved in Space 1999. Big, biggest, nuclear explosion and the moon just took off.
