What is the worst US state and why?

Mississippi! In just about every metric you can imagine the state is at or near the bottom. And the sad part is they seem to okay with it.
2 u/Brodman_area11 28d ago I spent 12 years in Mississippi as a teacher. I finally left when I realized the MS doesn’t WANT to be saved. I lost hope in the face of an arrogant and willful ignorance.
