This makes me want to jump out of a window. The fast lane is for CRIME who goes in the fast lane and does the speed limit??? You should be doing at least 10 to 15 over in that lane sometimes I push 20 over
My biggest pet peeve about the left lane are the folks who swerve past you when you're trying to move over for them.
I cannot tell you the amount of times I've seen a car moving faster than me coming up behind me, put my turn signal on, look to move, only to not be able to because the faster car zoomed into the right lane to pass me.
Like, my guy. I'm moving for you. You wouldn't have to do shit other than keep driving straight if you just waited the .3 seconds it'll take for me to move. Chill.

You really shouldn’t be exceeding the speed limit at any point. That’s why it’s a limit. If someone is going the speed limit in the left lane, you have no need to pass them, they’re already going as fast as you should go.
In some states I don’t know if it goes for all, if you are in the farthest left lane (the fast lane) and you don’t move out the way for a faster car you can get pulled over it happened to my mom it’s a safety hazard slower traffic is supposed to keep right
It's the law in a whole lot of places. If someones catching up to you and you aren't currently passing someone, get out of the left lane and let them go. Staying there as a pace car is just making the dangerous situation of speeding even more dangerous. Not to mention you put yourself even more at risk of being involved in an accident that way. Move over, let them pass, and everyones happy
That’s nonsense. Society shouldn’t tolerate speeding, and I know I certainly won’t. It’s not the end of the world if you have to slow down and drive the speed limit.

Where I live 10-30km/h over the 110km/h limit on the highway is normal, some people still sit in the left and force people to pass on the right. I put the blame on them for any accident more than the speeder in that situation because driving safely is about awareness, not about being right
Nobody is ever forced to pass on the right. You cannot force another driver to pass you while driving the speed limit. Other drivers are choosing to exceed the speed limit, and in so doing, choosing to pass unsafely. The consequences of that are on them.
I mean if someones already breaking the law and speeding and someone wants to block the left lane, they probably won't have a problem passing them on the right. If that causes an accident then it would be both drivers fault because they both broke the law
Despite going the speed limit, its still contradicting what you learn in driving school. Left lane the passing lane, right lane is the driving lane. How are emergency verhicles going to pass you if you are driving in the passing lane and other people are driving in the driving lane?

You're advocating that civilians should enforce one law by breaking another. Even if you believe that nobody should ever break any law for any reason, you still need to let them pass, otherwise you're being a massive hypocrite.
I believe that nobody should speed. The idea that there is a legally designated speeding lane is absurd. If it is a law that speeding is forgiven if you speed in one lane only, that law does not deserve to be respected.

Blocking lanes of traffic just results in people having road rage and tailing others. That is what’s dangerous.
Also the left lane is for passing only. Please read that again since you don’t seem to understand that. If you are in the left lane and going the speed limit then you are fucking up the entire design of our road system and probably making traffic and road conditions worse.
On any major road/insterstate you should never drive in the left lane unless you are currently passing someone. That’s why that lane exists. Period.

Bullshit. Speed limits have been stuck in most places at 55 for decades now despite cars being a million times safer and handling better at high speeds. With modern cars, most highways in America should have a limit of at least 75-80.
The only reason they're still at 55 is because speeding tickets have become a source of revenue.

When you’re behind someone at an intersection and even being behind them can clearly see there is absolutely nothing on the street- nobody walking or biking and no cars moving at all and they take a full 3 seconds to decide it’s safe to turn. I’m pretty sure I get about 136 cuss words out, very loudly, in that time they’re making up their mind.
Legit my city. It's like fucking opposite town. Slow drivers in the left lane, and fast drivers passing them all on the right. So many people drive 10km below the limit. Also, so many people do a full stop in the merge lane to the highway.
I was on a long drive recently in Texas where the speed limit is 75, 6 lane highway. This dumb bitch was parked in the left lane and I approach here going 85, she's just cruising along at 60. I can see her aggressively motioning at me to go around her on the right, like wtf? Cars are passing her on the right side with nobody ahead and I can't even get over, so she starts fucking break checking me, really smashing her brakes. Of course I do my due diligence and cut her off and hit the breaks in return but I was livid. She finally got over after that.

On surface streets- the asshole fucks that come to a complete stop to make a right turn with a green light. It's almost always some soccer mom in a gigantic 3-row SUV she can't fucking drive bringing traffic to a halt because she's terrified her boat of a vehicle might actually lean a bit in a turn if she doesn't make me miss the green light
Fast drivers in the right lane are worse. They make merging and changing lanes so fucking dangerous. You should usually be driving slower than the cars to the left of you, because they are the passing lanes. If you’re merging off, slow down and merge behind the people getting on because they need to be speeding up to get into the left lanes. No one does this because everyone is too important to not be first, even if it doesn’t make sense.
