WTF is that a thing? I thought women were always complaining about men being emotionally stunted

Women AND MEN**** who think men shouldn't show emotions. The women who think men shouldn't show emotions were probably taught to feel that way by their father or ,back in the day, their partner. I would say most women actively try to get men to express their emotions, other men not so much.

I've never had a bro use a moment of weakness against me, but women will nag you to tell them whats wrong and then use it against you in the next argument

I agree with you there, forgot that men sometimes do this too

Man here, haven't seen that yet.

And I show plenty of emotions all over the chart.

that's because it very rarely does and this is a strawman reddit MRAs use a lot to pretend women are actually the source of their problems

Fair points. I wouldn't say women are the source of ALL problems though, sometimes you have natural disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes, and floods.

Yup. Unempathetic assholes in general make my blood boil

Oh boy, this right here, as someone who has a father who lacked a good father figure, I dont exactly have much to go on, showing emotions, and even just talking to him.

Fuck people who are like that.

So many women I’ve been with or the wives/girlfriends of friends instigate this. Think you’re a pussy or too soft if you show emotions or communicate a lot. And then wonder why a lot of men are so callus. The military was also brutal in this regard, too many friends lost to suicide.

if you think the military sucks for men, whew boy, you aren't gonna believe how it is for women. This fake "women are the problem actually" shit doesn't really float in reality, despite your need for it to.

When did I say it didn’t suck? This was about men not being able to show emotion. Hence my comment and how it’s currently affecting men in the military. But please, pull up your irrelevant podium. I never said women are the whole problem lmao. I said many women I’ve been with or seen also perpetuate the problem. Not that they are the entire problem. Men are also extremely brutal to other men in terms of their mental health. This is common knowledge.

toxic masculinity is perpetuated by men, against other women. The entire point of toxic masculinity is to avoid being feminine- the worst thing these men believe a man can be. The fact that you hate it too is what lets them control you. You can break that cycle at literally any moment, just stop being so frightened/angry of association with femininity, and their power vanishes.

but as shit as men are to each other, they are worse to women. Don't forget what they're using to control other men, in this situation.

When did I also say that I followed the trend? I’m saying that most people I encounter try to enforce the social norm which sucks. Many people I knew in the military grew up in shitty gang culture and thats all they knew (growing up in the Bronx or Oakland). It’s not just as easy as “just break the cycle bro” for these people. You’re assuming that I followed the social norms. Hence why the military wasn’t a good fit for me and why none of my past relationships worked out. They tried to make me something I’m not. You’re so far up your own ass and want that “ha gotcha moment” to scold me in front of strangers.

Men who think women are the cause of their toxic masculinity.

Women who think their gender is innocent of enforcing gender roles

1

u/No-Bewt 28d ago

men who don't actually give a damn about gender roles or showing emotions or anything like that, they just hate women and need an excuse they think is socially defensible

2

u/AngryEagles 27d ago

People that don't understand that some people don't give a damn about gender roles or showing emotion and its not because they hate women, they hate anybody that tries to tell them how to live their life

1

u/depressed_toddler21 27d ago

people who argue pointless battles on social media

1

u/No-Bewt 27d ago

men who just think this is a fucking social media thing where they can close reddit and completely ignore it, because it has no implications on their actual lives lol
