When people disrespects my husband. Sadly, most of the time this happen, I was not present. I would've chewed them up. Not to say he isn't capable of defending himself, but to see someone you love being disrespected really hurts.
It's just the environment in the workplace. Trash talking (even about your wife) is a way to prove yourself 'one of the boys', if you don't, then you become the target.
