psh, there's a pizza place near me that has a breakfast pizza with regular crust, alfredo sauce, scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, bell peppers and shredded cheese. It's like an omelet on bread. Delish.
I know it. Bought a pizza from a place that does nothing but pizza. It was so good, but very expensive. Had a couple slices left over.
Bit into one for breakfast the next morning. It was awful. I reheated it for lunch and it was fine.
Had a $6 pizza from Little Caeser's, it was okay for quick food. The next morning, I could not believe how good it was cold.
I can only speculate that it is the seasonings in the sauce. A good pizza place is going to have real italian spices in their sauce. Oregano, basil, real garlic instead of powder, maybe even parsley. So it won't taste as good when cold.
A cheap sauce might have barely a hint of those spices in the powdered form. So it's just ordinary sauce.
I'm a Gen X'er so when I was a kid we had the "Four Food Groups". I used to tell my mom and dad that pizza literally covered all four. I still think of it that way.
