My parents home have an old school “book shelf” place for their 90s box TV. For Christmas I would like to modernize it with a flat screen that I can somehow put on the wall in the same area. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Came here to suggest similar. Even if they never actually move it, that'll get the flat-screen off the wall safely. AND...give you some (not so easy to access) storage behind it.
