New hire days off, vacation days question
what i’m still stressing on is upon hiring when can I ask off? I start orientation tomorrow but i can’t start the job normally until sunday (my shifts will be Friday-monday) First off do y’all think they would mind? Secondly i still live with my parents and have to go where they go including vacations, would working here make it any difficult? Plz help me thanks

1) your manager is always the first and best place to ask 2) don’t ever pass up free vacations. Enjoy spending time with your parents while you’re young.

You have to work 90 days before you're able to take any days off. You'll get written up and fired for missing any days before then. You'll have to find another job

it’s my first day, my parents need 4 of july week end, yes i’m grown but i can’t stay alone what so ever and they not canceling so be it if they wanna fire me . Honestly i’m gonna just trust my manager he seemed like a nice guy thanks though

You could still input the vacation time in the ADP punch in kiosk or iPads to get to my schedule. While you might not be at 1000 hours or whatever the criteria to use PTO hours for your vaca I recall an option to let them know you’ll be away for period of time without pay and it’s excused.

oh thank you ! today’s my first day , the fact that i’m more worried about that than the actual job i’ll be doing. let’s see how it goes. thank you

Dude your an adult, you don't have to go with your parents lol.
If your talking about express, vacation days have bidding windows once a year, you put pretty much all your vacation days on the calendar then, and it's based on seniority with limited slots per month, if you're new, don't expect to get popular vacation times, summer, after holidays, that sort of thing.
