Best place to FI/RE in the South Advice Request

I’m originally from VA, but had to move to Los Angeles when I was growing up. I want to go back out to the south, where would be some of the best places for a 25 year old to go, my salary is about 200k a year and I have no student debt. I am in a position to move without any consequences, lmk what you think!

But I suggest to give it a couple of years, the market is really hot and even for rent is hard to find a good place

I was considering buying a 4plex to establish residency, live in one and rent the other three out, but like you wrote, I can't get over the prices, I don't assume they will go down, but we never know what will happen.

Depends, Tampa’s pretty cool I wouldn’t recommend Miami

We liked the few days we spent in Tampa/Clearwater/St Petersburgh beach areas. Miami Beach was kind of like a Hollywood dream, Nice condo on the beach, meals in local nice restos, etc. there's no way we could afford that lifestyle on our FIRE budget!

Wesley Chappell,( very close to Tampa) ,Odessa, Naples. Wesley Chappell though is good if you own the place, really low taxes ( Pasco County) , Odessa too. No State taxes either.
