Well neighbor - you can just head down to small town Texas and observe smokers in their natural restaurant habitat. In the suburb of Fort Worth that I grew up in, smoking is still A-OK in the local Chili's so long as you sit in the smoking section, which is a few feet away from the non-smoking section with literally not one thing in between.
