[Global] How much of nuisance are certain animals where you live? Global

I'm talking about pests, rodents , vermin, birds etc. (No insects!!).

Here in Dubai, pigeons are a real nuisance because pigeon shit can be found so ubiquitously, especially in older parts of Dubai. Many buildings have anti-pigeon railings or fences around the ledges of buildings or windows. Other pests are not very prevalent here, though they do exist, but none of them compare to the likes of pigeons, which are everywhere.

Gophers are destroying my garden. Not just ornamentals, edible plants too.

Squirrels. They are basically rats with fluffy tails. They eat all my bird seed, dig up my plants, pee on my porch, and have the nerve to yell at me from trees. Begone!

Animals are treated quite nicely here. Stray cats and dogs are regularly fed. Even birds like Pidgeons, Crows, and Sparrows are fed.

Pre 2010, there used to be Mongooses and Ratels here and there. (Ratels are Honey Badgers essentially) They disappeared from cities altogether after that. Cows were pretty common in the city but they have also disappeared and they weren't a nuisance.

The only nuisance in recent times are snakes which occasionally pop out in the monsoon. They caught a near 3m long Female King Cobra last month in my neighborhood and asked us to be on the lookout for its babies.

foxes, in a way. they're pretty cool really, but they go through the bins a lot, and when they're fighting or shagging they sound like children getting murdered lol

India has a stray dogs problem. Here we find loads of people who feed them. Street dogs breed like mosquitos, so these folks don't know what they're feeding. Every busy road in a major city mostly has packs of dogs. They are dangerous at night and early morning times. Often chase bike riders and joggers. In some extreme cases stray dogs have also killed children.

Western Canada, raccoons are pretty famous for digging through your trash. You can't leave any garbage outside overnight, especially if it's smelly. They're clever little buggers too, and famously good at getting into garbage cans if they're not properly sealed.

Coyotes are another pest, typically in more suburban or rural areas. They'll sometimes go through garbage, but they're a bigger danger to pets, and occasionally even people - in Vancouver, there's been a recent spate of coyote attacks in a major urban park.
