Some versions of the conspiracy say it was an inside job by the US to appease Israel as opposed to Mossad agents outright. Depends how far down the rabbit hole you go. Others will just say the Zionists were responsible without further clarification.

I think the Mossad agent tripe is that there was a pic of people celebrating across the Hudson when the towers were hit because Israel knew that the US would commit full resources against Islamic extremism in the Middle East. Another theory is that Mossad knew the 9-11 plan and didn’t warn CIA/FBI to achieve this.
