"Gannet" started the pandemic taking precautions due to pre-existing health concerns. It didn't take him long to fall down the anti-vax rabbit hole though, and he recently ended up hospitalized with Covid. (Repost with missed redactions.) Nominated

On slide seven, with the puke inducing image of Trump cradling a baby: the correct spelling would be “babies’” not “baby’s.”

104

u/facebook_twitterjail Oct 01 '22

Fun fact: that is not an actual photo of one of the abortions Trump paid for personally.

42

u/ecthelion108 Oct 01 '22

He and his colleagues probably have a designated credit card just for that purpose.

Along with a customer loyalty card?

Also fun fact: Trump likely hates babies and doesn't want them around him. Very much a "Shut that kid up!" kind of guy.

15

u/eleanorbigby Oct 01 '22

No doubt. He hates pets. :(

5

u/GalleonRaider Oct 02 '22

He's always seemed uncomfortable around small kids.

I remember early in his presidency there was an event where the kids of the white house press got to meet him in the oval office. I seem to recall he spent the time basically insulting their parents in front of them.

50

u/niftytastic Oct 01 '22

Since they don’t understand how to properly pluralize “baby”, I’m going to assume they only think one specific baby’s life matters.

Facebook is capitalism. It makes huge amounts of money and people pay a lot of money for it and meets their needs very well and the product has been very firming tailored the customer’s needs. It’s just that you are not the customer, you the product.

3

u/dumdodo Oct 02 '22

Back in high school, they taught us that in socialism, the government owns the means of production, so there is no guy that owns something and gets rich.

Facebook is quite capitalist, and they run their business the way they see fit, even if it displeases you, a customer who chooses to use it.

Just wanted to clear that up for you. Nominees, we recommend that you finish high school before posting, or risk looking dumb.

If that is a concern for you.

There really has never been a true Communist Society created. All communist governments have been dictatorships supported by oligarchs, and the leaders are lifetime. The closest to communism naturally made would be the ancient egalitarian societies. Today, a bad communist society would be reflected in the HOA, and better, the trade union.

Socialism stops people expressing their opinions? Quick, someone tell all the Scandinavians before they “shut you up”.

It’s so annoying how people project what they incorrectly think something is just so then they can then be outraged about it.

47

u/grateful-biped Oct 01 '22

Someone’s in the hospital & they post on FB about their trials.
Tens of people reply with “Prayers,” “I’ll pray for you” etc. Do they? Right then & there do they set their phone down, roll out of the Lazy Boy, and get on their knees? Or do they wait until church & bring a list of the people they’ve said “Prayers,” to in the past week.

I guess it’s sort of like “how’s it going?” You don’t expect anyone to tell you anything meaningful. Has “Praying for you,” replaced “Good morning,” in the church mudroom?

Does anyone followup on it? Like, “you said you were going to pray for me. I’m still sick as heck. Did you forget or are you going to wait until after I’m dead?!”

I’m not going to “do my own research” on this - just musing about the reflexive prayer world

31

4

i like how they think facebook is socialism. you pay for facebook, it's just not with money

8

u/mothermucca It’s just a COVID Oct 01 '22

Man, Facebook fact checked a lot of his posts. It’s almost like he’s Putin’s meme puppet or something.

6

u/uncleray6969 Team Sputnik Oct 01 '22

It’s absurd how the most logical reasoning for this guy when one of his bullshit memes gets fact-checked is that the elites control the internet and have scrubbed/revised involvement rather than the meme just being bullshit

Y2K was a valid issue. The only reason things didn’t go tits up was the hundreds of thousands of hours programmers worked to create patches so the world didn’t fucking end. Not that I’d expect a MAGAt to understand any of it.

6

u/Perigee-Apogee Get the Jabby-Jabby Oct 02 '22

Yes. Programmers were really busy. Can confirm.

8

u/PrudentDamage600 Oct 01 '22

I cannot believe the half-truths and misconceptions that peaked out of Facebook. No mention of how short on medical supplies we were; that Trump would dole them out only as political favours (like in “communist” countries); that urgent care, emergency rooms and hospitals were filling up; that their were limited breathing machines; that Trump hesitating closing down the cruise ship industry bringing death to our doorstep in large waves. No mention how Pence was put in charge of the Task Force and was such a Trump lacky that he mad NO decisions without Trump’s approval, who, of course, was off golfing.

6

u/JohnVanVenker Oct 01 '22

Does this fool have any idea how socialism works? Facebook is the antithesis of socialism.

6

u/savvyblackbird Oct 01 '22

I’m confused as to why he thought the hospital would give him a CPAP to take home?

4

u/Zealousideal_Luck333 Oct 01 '22

Great point. CPAP devices generally need to be individually fitted. Acute care hospitals generally don't do that type of thing but they'll refer to someone who will. This is assuming that you have a diagnosis of sleep apnea or like disorder. Insurance generally covers at least a goodly part of this.

2

u/savvyblackbird Oct 01 '22

Yeah, Covid that didn’t include Covid pneumonia and a hospital stay isn’t a good enough reason get a CPAP. Especially when they’re so needed by patients who actually have Covid pneumonia.

These nuts sure hate Facebook but if it wasn’t for them FB would probably go under. Bet they won’t repost.

7

Facebook is socialism lol. They literally have zero idea what socialism is.

If Facebook was socialist, the workers would own it and Zuckface would have significantly less money and control. IE exactly the opposite of what they said.

5

u/maireza Oct 01 '22

The difference between socialism and FB is that you don't have to use FB.

#12 "They" are purposely manufacturing new variants, as many as "they" want to.

That's a new one. Makes no sense at all.

3

u/dumdodo Oct 02 '22

Idea 1: If THEY can make the original version, THEY can make variants.

Idea 2: Variants are made up by the government, media or the Deep State, to keep the hysteria going.

u/twobillsbob Team Moderna Oct 02 '22

I misread “CPAP machine” as “CRAP machine” for a second there. I could probably make a half-decent joke about that as a comparison to him, but I’m pretty sick (not Covid) and I am not very articulate right now.

"BABY'S LIVES MATTER."

Really? Which baby's multiple lives are on the line? Where is this immortal cherub?

The only thing worse than a stupid-assed meme, is a stupid-assed meme with a blatant spelling and punctuation error. (Dear Covidiot dumb-asses reading this: It should say "Babies' Lives Matter.")

And the idea of the pathologically-lying, malignant narcissistic, pussy-grabbing germaphobe coddling a child he doesn't owe support for is sooo LOL.

They seem to have forgotten that he was out screwing a porn actress while wife #3 was at home recovering from childbirth with kid #5. A narcissist like him would view a baby as a rival for the attention he thinks he deserves.

3

u/BrilliantPassenger58 Oct 02 '22

These people’s arguments are always so tucking stupid and contradictory. They’re not even trying to be ironic, they’re just too stupid to see they’re hypocrisy. Big Pharma, Blah blah blah and when he gets sick he goes to a hospital and wants treatments and medicine. Than that bullshit about history, it is ugly and it shouldn’t be hidden, so talk about all the ugly shit, slavery, the genocide of indigenous people, interment camps of Japanese Americans, Deportation of Mexican American citizens, Black Wallstreet, but that’s the stuff these people wanna bury.

That first slide has so much wrong on it. Facebook is nothing like "socialism". Facebook is a private company, not a government. You are free to join or not join. If you join, you agree to the terms of service. That's the most idiotic statement I've ever seen.
