Correct. I remember a time back in 2021 when a number of big names in the far right (Roosh V, Laura Loomer, maybe Joe Rogan) happened to come down with all the classic symptoms of COVID, right on down to conveniently having a pulse oximeter handy and were on the verge of death before conveniently having a supply of ivermectin nearby. Then it was like BOOM they’re cured and nothing happened. It all read like a script and was incredibly sus.

She’s probably done worse, along with the dad, but at that point I quit researching the parents because I seriously started getting nauseous.

u/KittenWithaWhip68 Nov 28 '22 edited Nov 28 '22
Oh, that’s not good!
I have a friend who’s a long-time human rights activist and goes to Black Lives Matter protests/marches/events. She told me no one in the local BLM community can fucking stand Candace Owens, and would call her a race traitor to her face if they got the chance.
Speaking of horrible people, do remember hearing those two were no-talent tacky trashy antivaxxers. Guess what, the BLM community can’t stand them either. What I didn’t know till I looked just now was that fucking FOX NEWS cut them loose for spreading vaccine information. (Good ole Newsmax was happy to hire them). Also, they claim FB censored them, violated their first amendment rights, bla bla bullshit bla, when there is zero evidence for this.
I don’t see how any sane Democrat would turn around and become an avid trmp supporter and stump for him unless 1. they were mentally ill ..I can think of one very high-profile celeb/musician who recently lost quite a bit of money, and a former actress who calls herself a feminist while shitting on other women and stumping for an especially horrible black Republican who treated women like shit in the Gavin Newsome “recall election”, who both fit the deeply mentally ill narcissist category. Other reason (this is just my theory)? Pure greed, no moral compass. Or both. Definitely a lot of overlap there.
Had a friend who worked her ass off for the Hillary Clinton campaign, volunteered, donated money, etc. Somehow around 2019 she became a diehard giant orange rat (I don’t even like to say the assholes name if I don’t have to) supporter. She went to anti-quarantine protests and mask burning parties. And she was at the Jan 6th rally before those treasonous fucks stormed the capital. I had cut ties before Jan 6, but I remember thinking —and this no joke—she might have had a stroke, since her whole personality changed and it was so unlike her. That, or she went off her meds.
I told my husband that if I start acting/talking like that, take me to the hospital because I probably had a stroke or other dangerous brain issue. He thought I was kidding at first, but I assured him I was serious.
Sorry for the long post. I see Diamond did catch Covid pretty recently, and IIRC is hospitalized. I was hoping for a different outcome, if you get my drift.

And they were liberals but Democrats didn't buy their schtick, so they went conservative and leaned hard into black stereotypes.
69
u/JoJCeeC88 Nov 27 '22
They were pro-Trump vloggers who first made a name for themselves during the 2015-16 Republican nomination and whose reach exploded during the campaign that year. Much of their gimmick was that these were two ordinary Black women who normally did not have any interest in politics whatsoever. Once Trump got elected they continued to ride that fame into Fox, but then fizzled out fast.
As far as I know they haven’t had COVID before, but they’re prime targets for mortality due to the obvious co-morbidities they have.

We made lentil shepherd's pie. Everyone at my table were Whole Foods Plant Based eaters, even the guests. The biggest problem I've had in the past with shepherd's pie is getting the potato topping just right. This time I steamed (pressure-cooked) the potatoes and then whipped them in the Vitamix. Perfect!
My friend brought dairy-free and gluten-free pumpkin pie and cherry pie. My mom found Almond Milk whipped "cream", for them as likes whipped cream on their pie. All delicious.

But as far as Thanksgiving, I made some turkey cutlets and steamed sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts, and I also made a lasagna later that day. So for two days we ate leftover turkey and vegetables and lasagna. It was still way less effort that if I had done a big turkey. I made the turkey and the lasagna both in the crock pot. Easy!

u/mothermucca It’s just a COVID Nov 27 '22
I’ve had five different thanksgiving dinners. I have cancer, and my friends want to help in any way they can, so there has been a steady stream of thanksgiving leftovers hitting the porch this week. The best so far was an amazing apple crumble pie. The worst was some sweet potatoes that were so spicy that they were inedible, followed by some mashed potatoes that had the same treatment. We’re having a very nice turkey soup tonight, courtesy of the neighbors across the street.
8
u/BortForbert Nov 27 '22
