The only people I know who are offended by truth in history are far right wing. This slide goes over my head.

Thinking it might have involved the whole "stop destroying our country's (Confederate racist) "historical treasures" bullshit, if I were a betting person.

Suspect you're 100% right. We're happy to study history, even, sometimes especially, the ugly stuff...even as the facts offend us. That's how we learn. Where we draw the line is lionizing the bad guys and putting up statues to commemorate their war crimes. Hard concept for some to understand, apparently 🙄
