Why is My Vehicle Registration 266 Dollars?

Isn't it only like fifty bucks in other states? I'm negative 70 dollars in my bank account working 40 hours a week. I don't think I can afford to pay 266 dollars. If I can't afford it, does that mean I have to stop driving my car, because I need that to get to work every day.

That makes this post ironic.

I drive a 3 year old base Subaru and my registration is the same as this person. It's not like they're driving a luxury vehicle.

It was meant to be a lot more light hearted than it came off as, sorry!

Np! Just setting the scene for those who are going to ask OP why they can afford an expensive car but not the tags.

A little bit of bad taste on my part.

You have 7 vehicles. You get no sympathy

Why is that? Could all be ones that barely run and I can’t get ahead enough to fix them.

Then junk em or sell em or anything but if you aint using em, you don't need em

I use all of them. 3 trucks 2 race cars (soon to be 3) 2 about town cars and 1 suv.

Then we are back to no sympathy

So because I have more and have worked harder than average people obviously and taken on risks etc I should have to pay more because of that? This mentality is why everything is so expensive now days. No one wants to work people want a hand out and to sit around and do nothing and get everything paid for from those who do work.

Yes, thats how taxes are supposed to work. You have more, you pay more.

Maybe there was a clerical error at the BMV?

Nope its accurate. When I bought my Toyota Camry new in 2016 it was $325. I was looking to upgrade to a new Toyota Tacoma pick up and the price was going to be $600
