The coarsening of discourse is consistent across geographies.
I saw “Fxxx Trump” masks in the Ankeny Walmart a few months ago.
I also drove by this particular abode somewhat recently, before this sign, but the warning signs were evident.
And for those less educated, Iowa’s last Democratic Lt. Governor, Patty Judge, was from Albia. The community has traditionally been a strong Democratic and union town with coal mining roots.
