After coming from a post where someone was shaming a 20 something girl for her anime/game/manga collection this is nice to read. That post was about unnecessary Photoshop to the girl's cosplay. Had nothing to do with what's on her walls/shelves/collection.
EDIT: Even if it was a 40 yr old man or woman's anime/manga/game collection. Some people can't let others enjoy their lives without getting offended because those others "aren't acting their age".

I'm 30 and that little Perry hangs out on my pillow at night. I have severe night terrors and it helps me go to sleep easier when I am surrounded by cute things.

It's the same look my cat has when we won't let him take his rawhide bone on his walks! We already get strange looks taking him out on a leash we don't need to add in dog bones to the craziness.
Yes, I have a cat who has a leash and loves rawhide bones. He also has a giant fluffy pink bunny that's bigger than him that squeaks. I'm pretty sure he was a dog in his past life. 😂
He's still a proper cat who is addicted to jingly balls.

That is awesome. I had a cat who liked walks and learned basic tricks with my dog in training cause he liked dog treats. Animals are so neat with their individual quirks and personalities, we really are blessed to have them.

I miss walking out of a martial arts movie with the certain confidence that, in that precise moment, were terrorists to attempt a take-over of the cinema lobby, I could save everyone's lives.
Even an hour later, reality had kind of crept back into my world. But right as I'm walking out of the theatre? Invincible.
Now I'm 49, and sciatica dictates the course of each of my days. I mean, my cane is heavy and made from really dense, hard woods. So perhaps I could smack one person and get their attention if necessitated, but otherwise they'd drop me like 3rd period French.
35-40 years ago? Invulnerable.

I mean, I can be incredibly intimidating. I'm a big guy. I have an epic grey beard. And I can talk the talk, but if I'm going to be walking any walks, I'll need my heating pad, a comfortable chair, and maybe someone else to proxy in and fight for me.

The last Christmas I had with my dog, I bought her a squeaky pig and she loved it. When it was time for her walk she wanted to take it with her. I have a cute video of her waiting to go out by the back door with piggy in her mouth. Piggy stayed home in the end and I'm glad she loved her new toy. She unwrapped it herself. My mum wasn't happy that Shadow wasn't interested in the toy she got her at all.

My dog has so many toys, but she chose two as her faves. One of these toys I bought as a joke. It's a snake that has 3 squeekers in it and I bought it to annoy the shit out of my housemates. It has backfired. If she's hungry, I now get a 3ft snake thrown at me. If she wants to play, she now brings a 3ft squeek toy to me and squeeks it till we play. If she wants a walk, she stands on this snake till I walk her. If she wants a cuddle, she brings knot bear and puts it on my lap.
My dog is funny as shit. I love her so much!

I had a Greyhound named Destiny. She had never had puppies as far as my family knew. Well my mom loves giraffes and had this little giraffe plushie, and Destiny carried it around, groomed it, and slept with it like it was her baby. Literally the cutest thing ever. Part of me thinks she actually thought it looked like her, seeing as she was brown with dark spots similar to the giraffe plushie. She ended up having a stroke when she got older and had to be put down. Only regret is not having more pictures of her and her ‘baby’
