OR suspenders, but never both. Bow tie plus suspenders is a good look! It seems like OP enjoys rocking the classic nerdy style and pulls it off well!
If you wanna up the game, pair that shirt with a white linen bow tie (or one with a slight texture, not a satin finish)— I’d suggest a diamond point shape, and some white suspenders. That and if you don’t know already, take some time to learn how to tie a bow tie from hand— you can tell a hand-tied bow tie from a pre-tied one; the imperfections are kind of the key to crushing the style. They are a lot easier to tie than most people think, and you’ll be everyone’s favorite person at formal events for knowing how to tie them!
Just my unsolicited former men’s couture enthusiast/ son of a clothing store owner advice.
No matter what though, keep smiling. That’s always the best look.

You look good. Pro tip: always wear a belt, matching the colour of your shoes and maybe lose the upper button of your shirt. But this is fine already, too!

For an extra look try popping the top two buttons and rolling the sleeves up. It gives more of a casual vibe :)
Edit: a belt would look clean too! But these are just some recommendations- do what makes YOU feel comfortable

Dude, you look good (someone else said a young Andy Samberg and I'd agree) but personally I feel the shirt is ugly and off putting.
But if it makes you feel good keep on rocking it and go get 'em slugger!
I'd also recommended that you pick up some windex on the way home. That mirror needs some TLC.

I think paisley in any shape or form ROCKS, but black and white is especially gorgeous. I may have chickened out on the bow tie myself, cause not a lot of guys can pull this off. But you seemed to feel exceptionally festive today and that deserves respect. Keep on sharing the feel-good moments!! 🙂

In '19 I lost about 40-45 lbs and got a couple of pearl snap shirts that fit exceptionally well. I've since put ten pounds of taco weight back on and am back on weight loss, and wearing those shirts comfortably will be the goal.

If you do the tuck I suggest a belt, always match the belt to your shoes. I suck at fashion and wear dickies and black t shirts most of the time but that's one fashion tip I know. Lookin sharp.
