Here, in northern Norway, we find ourselves in the middle of a mass corgi migration. These impeccable creatures will leave their homes and travel across the Nordic region in an attempt to get home to Great Britain.
As the British crown nears it birthday, these corgis will travel over hundreds of miles to return home to mate. Buckingham Palace will soon be overwhelmed by the yips and barks of corgis attempting to find a mate. They will stay just for a quick cup, and afterwards return from whence they came from.

I like how they started in a perfectly straight line and not even 2 seconds later most of them got distracted and bailed. 🤣

I can’t tell if they’re looking back to make sure you’re following or trying to stop you from following.

Wait corgis have tails that long. So cute. Why do people cut if off😠

They don’t cut them off, most breeders just breed ones without tails. It is a shame but you can definitely find one with a tail if you try.

Wtf?! It seems so stupid. I thought it was like they do for doberman (I’ve only seen without tails) .
They look so foxy and damn cute just as they are. I hate people

No, all dogs have tails at birth. Breeders put elastic bands on them so the turn black and drop off. I’ve seen it with my own eyes, it’s messed up.

That’s..not a thing that all or even most breeders do.
(I’m opposed to all tail docking and breeding in general ftr.)

So apparently some corgis are born without tails! (I just read up on it). But apparently it’s rare. If a corgi is to be considered ‘breed standard’, it has to have no tail, or have its tail docked. All of this apparently because ancient Romans had this superstition that dogs got rabies through their tail. And breeders just carry on doing it for no reason. eye roll
Yeah, this happens to lots of dog breeds: bulldogs, boxers, most terriers (including Yorkies), Doberman, etc. I am firmly against it, and a lot of breeding practices. No animal should be bred to be unhealthy imo.

These are Pembroke Corgis, that model doesn’t come with tails installed. The Cardigan welsh corgi model does however and has a nice brindle paint as well.
