The father has been pressured for years and hasn't budged. Until I see something tangible I consider this to be simply smoke designed actually to get people who didn't read the details to say "what a relief!" and not think as much about it anymore. So it may have the opposite effect of what you are suggesting.
But I'm a terminal cynic. And if Britney were a man and it was her mom doing the conservatorship, this would already have been resolved.
