It's better for people to get clout for genuinely helping a stranger than for pranking strangers, dancing, or whatever else is the norm. So what klay thompson got a bunch of views, he helped a random person out with a deed not many people would consider. Additionally, more views means more money to do more videos like this. No one shits on Mr Beast for giving away 10k+ every video, I don't see the difference if it's $500 or $1M to a stranger.
I wouldn’t give an absolute fuck if I was in a bad spot financially and someone decided to record themselves being kind and giving me a lot of money.
And the money they earn from making the video makes it possible for them to make more videos giving away money/food. So the more videos they make, the more they can help people out so I am failing to see the problem here.
