The story goes they applied for Visa's from Brazil to come to the US it's not a straight forward process and they didn't know if the visa's would be approved on time but the groom helped with the process and thus the video speaks the rest.
Okay that makes much more sense! I was wondering why if she was so happy to see them they weren't already invited/coming and it had to be a "surprise" - but really the surprise was getting the visas in time.
