3 years sobriety yesterday. Looking healthy, and happy (albeit a bit tired), and proud of myself ☺️ Small Success

Well done! Btw I think if you shave your head you’ll look even younger and fitter :)

Came here to say this. Give it up, it's the best thing you'll ever do. Learn to live your new self.

My gf stopped drinking week ago. Let's see how long she lasts. If you have an advice, please share..

Speak to people who have done it already (they get the emotions), be genuinely honest with yourself even when you really don't want to be, and focus on making it through the present moment at the early days. The feeling of being ok without it all comes with time, just get through the hour/minute/day at the beginning.
3 years down the line I barely think about it at all now - like I'm aware of it, but it doesn't bother me as I don't feel like I need to take stuff. Early days my anxiety was high so it was a managing through where I could, but it gets much much easier.
Fingers crossed she'll manage, and I wish her the best. If I can do it, then so can she ❤️

I hope so, cause I'm waiting for her to spot for three years now. Love and hate situation atm now.. Don't think I can handle another year with her drinking.. Hopefully she will understand what she might loose, otherwise bye bye..

brother......go look a look at your profile picture, then a good hard look in the mirror, and then revisit this comment.

Got me 5 years under my belt. Good to see another young guy in recovery. Stay strong friend. Lemme know if you wanna hit an online meeting together sometime.
