Almost 2 years since I overdosed and lost literally everybody in my life. I’m proud of my self and have nobody to share this with so 🤷♂️ Small Success

I was addicted to meth and heroin, I was probably 80lbs soaking wet when I got sober. Add in a few overdoses and the loss of friends and family due to my addiction.
It’s been 10 years now, reconnected with my family and a couple of friends.
Congratulations friend! Keep it up :)

Fuck yeah dude I overdosed myself and had no one but the methadone clinic and an empty apartment in the ghetto .Now I am 6yrs clean and livin a better life. Not saying it's easy but it is so much better. Proud of you my man!! 💯 Keep it up.

You are so beautiful and special! I'm just a stranger, but think of it this way- you wheened out the people who are too insecure and judgemental to be bothered with someone else's real issues. Congratulations. Awesome achievement!
I removed someone from my life who had an addiction to keep myself safe and it was the hardest thing I ever did. That person came back into my life when they were sober and although we don’t have the same relationship we once did, our bond has evolved into something stronger.
Have hope that one day things are going to change (people change, as you’ve shown) and you’ll find your people. Stay strong.

go get it my bro. spendin a year and a half in prison startin when i was 20 i was workin on myself and made enough progress that im not too insecure to be shirtless.im 22 now and im continuing my journey and im glad im not alone. bettering urself is parallel to purpose in life. i mean it genuinely, im proud of u and u give me hope. sendin good vibes ur way

I just left my hometown that ive lived in for my entire life of 33 years.
I moved to a new place with some local friends that I met online.
I left everyone and everything I knew because my hometown made me want to use drugs. Now, in my new home and with my new friends I come across posts like yours and I find myself rooting for you, saying "go get em bud, do that thing that makes you smile...its so worth it"
And I am here to say this to you now. Go. Go out and be happy. Leave the drugs, just go find people.

Why did you lose everyone in your life; that is when you needed them the most? Maybe it's like what I went thru after highschool where I realized my social circle was low quality, and replaced my friends with new friends that are kind, empathetic, wonderful, hard working people who want to make the world a better place. I bet that's your future.
I'm happy you're doing well. Don't internalize that. You will make new and more wonderful connections with authentic kind people.
