Yep that poor Chimpanzee is propably allowed to prance around their pathetic excuse for a zoo for around an hour and then straight back into their concrete cage.

u/zeldx 21d ago

They’ll probably end up killing one of them or severely injuring them. Especially when the chimp hits sexual maturity. You shouldn’t have “exotic” pets unless they are rescues IMO.

And then you should have to have the proper certification to know what your doing with them.

Like the chimp that ate the woman's face... ate her fucking face

Still more than enough to make me nope the hell out of the thought of ever owning an ape as a pet.

19

u/DeathByUnicornnn 22d ago

Can you elaborate?

28

u/oohhweee 22d ago

The way the treat females. And poor helpless animals.

21

u/DeathByUnicornnn 22d ago

Oh is Doc that asshole with like 3 wives?

27

u/oohhweee 22d ago

Yeah. They groom young women.

10

u/DeathByUnicornnn 22d ago

Yea I saw that. Awful stuff.

10

u/carcharodona 21d ago

Yikes - thank all you guys for bringing this up

3

u/Ndysodum 21d ago

The Tiger King documentary

u/MizzEmCee 21d ago

It's all fun and games until the Chimp eats dudes face.

That's what I was thinking, full grown chimps are incredibly dangerous. While the dude can risk his own life if he wants, obviously if something happens the chimp will be killed.

For anyone not in the loop, there was a woman who had a chimp who really mauled the woman's best friend and his caretaker. It's not really the right material for this sub though.

Edit: typo

A woman in Pendelton, Oregon was nearly mauled to death by her pet Chimp earlier this summer. The responding LEO had to shoot it as the woman's mother screamed for him to do so. Wild animals are not pets.

I keep telling my fiancé I don’t like chimps for this reason. Let them stay in the jungles and forests where they belong.

7

u/Outrageous_Bat1798 21d ago

That would be true r/mademesmile material

1

u/N0taThr0waway85 21d ago

Lady's face. Though if they do eat his face then it's fucking deserved.

Y’all loved tiger king but forgot so quick

12

u/flowerysp 21d ago

u/tac29000 22d ago

There’s a big difference between “tiger king” and animal sanctuaries/rescue…

9

u/Double_Hyphen 21d ago

This ain't that

-7

u/tac29000 21d ago

So where is this?

14

u/General_Lee_Wright 21d ago

Remember Doc Antle from tiger king, the guy who groomed young women for his harem, luring them in with tiger kittens. The one who's been charged with killing tigers, and illegally selling exotic wildlife?

This is his son continuing the family business.

1

u/tac29000 21d ago edited 21d ago

Thank you, that’s that Kody dude. Is his business still going? I would have thought it went out of business after the documentary plus covid.

Does anyone know if kody is just like his father or did he clean up the place? I’d like to believe he was raised around animals and grew up an animal lover and turned the place around. But I doubt it

7

u/bbaker1987 22d ago

Google dickheads that own zoos

12

u/Oldnewoldgamer 21d ago

Not pets. Lots of people see these videos and covet primates. Doesn’t end well

8

u/Bumm_by_Design 21d ago

Stop upvoting the video. This chimp is being exploited by some sick dude.

5

u/DizzyRock2238 22d ago

4

u/Smerbles 22d ago

Yeah, well, let’s see that chimp surf Reddit.

4

u/Greengazer111 22d ago

Don’t show this to the folks at r/Superstonk 😉🚀

2

u/Jooshoa 21d ago

I love how the chimp stops to wait for the human a bit

1

u/micky_il_topo 22d ago

Monke is superior to human

-3

u/improbablylyinglol 21d ago

This is Darren Oldenburg and his chimp Victor.

Victor is quite a unique chimp. Found in the wild as a baby. Mother was presumably killed. Raised entirely around humans and given adderall regularly for years. He has a vocabulary of over 3000 words and can read at a middle school level. Writing is … not so good. Victor is thought to be able to operate more or less flawlessly in human society if given the opportunity. They are actually planning on doing a test next year in a retirement community in Florida to see how well he can function.

11

u/Ah_BrightWings 21d ago

Please tell me this is satire. We all know how having a chimp--on medication, no less--living in human society worked out for Charla Nash. No, just no.

9

u/Oldnewoldgamer 21d ago

Presumingly killed by those who “rescue” her baby

3

u/1questions 21d ago

Chimps aren’t humans and aren’t going to operate well in human societies. They belong in the wild where they can be wild. And WTF is with giving a chimp adderall? Dumb.

2

u/N0taThr0waway85 21d ago

.... 500 bucks says he mauls someone.

1

u/Theo_Carolina 22d ago

Tarzan and Cheetah

1

u/michaelY1968 22d ago

Doesn’t a ‘race’ generally imply a competition might occur?

1

u/AetherCoreX 22d ago

Git gud lmfao

1

u/ballsplopmenacingly 21d ago

Yeah you ain't gonna win that race

1

u/9thKnightNine 21d ago

This is the literal definition of: Me and my Monkey

1

u/CANTPRONATWORK 21d ago

that hesitation at 9 sec where he looks back like "dude you coming, bro?" lol

1

u/cavesquatch 21d ago

Could you imagine how swoll we as humans would be if we swung around in trees and were active all day every day like chimps?

1

u/Ultrigon_kayaba 21d ago

Chimpanzees have a greater mobility in their shoulder compared to humans, which makes this here a lot easyer for them.

1

u/lonely_funny_guy 21d ago

There's a part in this video where the chimpanzee looks back at the man. I Dunno if its "HA, LOSER" or "Ya comin, mate?"

1

u/RACKSHACK51 21d ago

reject modernity

return to monke

1

u/unknown6091 21d ago

MONKE POWA

1

u/Ritzybubbles 21d ago

1

u/Robertbnyc 21d ago

The way he quickly keeps looking back to see how far back the human is lol
