Ronaldo to City rumours Discussion

What’s everyones thoughts on this? It’s been confirmed that Mendes did offer him to City and there’s no way that happens without Ronaldo’s knowledge

Speculation has also been ramping up the last few days due to him not starting games and missing training

I’d personally be absolutely raging if he goes to City, imagine the Derby with Ronaldo on the other team 🤢

If it wasn’t for SAF I could see it just because of how ruthless of a winner he is. But SAF was (and still is from the way Ronaldo talks about him) like a second father to him, I just can not see him ‘betraying’ that bond and relationship. Unless SAF has given his blessing, which I also can’t see happening.

Mind you we thought this of Schmeichel

I honestly have no way of explaining this further but I genuinely didn’t. Schmeichel was awesome for us and I like the dude, but for some reason it didn’t bother me anywhere near the way say Tevez did, or Ronaldo would.

True, and fair point. For me, any player turning traitor having been a part of the first team is shameful. I know he wanted to return and it meant Manchester but at a lower level, but still.

Totally agree, imagine comparing City in the early 2000s to City funded by a Saudi Prince 20 years+ later.

Schmeichel joining City would be like Ronaldo joining Watford.
