OVERALL THOUGHTS AND PREDICTIONS

This event is probably the most balanced yet; scott did an incredible job of team building and that makes it very hard to predict anything because there are so many factors that could put a potential 1st place team in like 8th and vice versa. I would say every team except obviously the blue bats (simmers my beloveds i’m so hyped for their return) and maybe the green guardians (sapnap has been nerfed this event lmao) have a solid chance of getting 1st place and it really could go any way.

RED RABBITS

VERY solid team. They’re going to have easily the best chemistry of any team in the event. Every single one of them have met the others irl and they’re all basically besties. There will be no communication issues here. Tommy is also a really good motivator and leader and with people like phil and wilbur who are more than willing to yell at him when he’s being dumb or just needs help, he’ll probably be even better. I think he tends to perform better with people he’s mega comfortable with, and he is with this team. Wilbur has been on his mcc training arc recently and has been improving a lot even over the past few mccs. He placed top ten for the first time ever in mcc 15 and i think it’s not unlikely at all that he will again this event. He’s an incredible team player and so entertaining to watch. Phil is probably one of the most overlooked players when people are talking about A tiers. His average placement is 12th, which is insane for how many events he’s been in. he’s also a really good support player in pvp games, incredible at games like rocket spleef and TGTTOSAWF and doesn’t really have a bad game imo. phil is also an amazing team player and so so supportive of his teammates, and i think that will really help ranboo perform even better! This is also ranboo’s second event and considering he placed 14th in his first, i find it very easy to believe that he will do even better this time now he has more experience. Overall i think this is easily a top 5 team and if they all have good days, they could also easily pop off and win the whole event. They don't really have a 'carry' but I really don't think this will be a problem at all!

ORANGE OCELOTS:

This team has so much potential. The tapl and punz duo is extremely scary, especially in pvp games. Although they have both had off days and underperformed in a couple of events, i think if they have good days and perform like we know they can they will both easily place in the top 10, if not top 5. Punz is one of the best pvp players in the event and harvey is very very good too. They are both also good all rounders and i think both of them will appreciate not having to be the sole person leading the team (especially punz, who i don’t think really enjoyed being the mcc 15 YY carry). Puffy and shubble also have a LOT of potential. I believe puffy is a very underrated mcc player, and a very good support player. She consistently places in the top 30 and has even placed top 15 a couple times. With the right team i think she could do a lot better than she has been recently! Shubble is similar in that she is an amazing support player and underrated in general. She is very very good at build mart and i believe a very consistent player and good all rounder. Overall i think this team could go either way. If punz or tapl let the pressure get to them or just have an off day i think this team could potentially place fairly low but if all of them perform they could do very well.

YELLOW YAKS

Yellow yaks my beloveds. Hbomb is back !!! this is going to be such a fun pov to watch - i'm so excited for this team. H is probably the best team player and also team leader in the event and he is so so lovely to everyone he has ever teamed with. He literally has his own H tier because putting him in A tier is a crime. My man H is an incredible all-rounder and cracked at so many games. However, as much as i want him and his team to pop off, more than anything i just want H to enjoy this event. He’s talked about how much pressure he feels from participating in mcc and i really hope it affects him less this time because he deserves to have a good time!! He also has incredible support from george and the captain, who are very similarly placing players. They both tend to place somewhere around 15th and have very very similar coin averages. George is hard to analyse because he can pop off and place near or in the top 10 but has also had a few events where he places lower. I think having a good team around him does help him a lot though so i think he could do really well this event. The captain is a very consistent player and such a good team player; i’m manifesting this to be his first win!! This team is also the only team with a new player: Ponk! I’m so so excited for ponk’s first mcc and i’m also so happy he’s on this team. He’s known george for years and they get along great, so i think they’ll be a very entertaining duo to watch but will also probably work very well together! And with the support of H and jordan i think ponk will do very well. New players are often disadvantaged with a lack of understanding of the games but i think H especially will do a great job of making sure he’s up to speed and i have a lot of faith in him. Overall i think as long as george and ponk can really focus on the games and they all perform well, they can win the event. Often the best teams aren’t the teams with the very best of the S tier players but the teams with no weak links with good chemistry and communication, which i have no doubt this team will have.

LIME LLAMAS

In my opinion a lot of people are underrating this team. Quig is pretty universally regarded as one of the best mcc players of all time. He has placed first a total of five times and has only left the top 10 twice despite playing in every single event since the beginning. He is incredible at the game and i have zero doubts that he will do well. He has also been nerfed a fair bit recently and had statistically worse teams than a lot of other S tiers, so i think he will appreciate having dave on his team this time! Dave krtzy is such a good mcc player and has also only left the top 10 3 times, having played in all but 3 events. Dave and quig are both extremely experienced players and dave is very good at pvp games, especially battle box and survival games. This team also has THE DUO !!! this will be jack and niki’s first time teaming together and i’m sure they’re as excited as we are for it to happen! Niki has a lot of experience in mcc now and despite usually placing fairly low, is a really good support player and so encouraging and lovely to everyone. She also seems to thrive on supportive teams that will hype her up so i have no doubts that jack will be constantly encouraging her and i think they’ll work really well together. I think this could be niki’s best event yet. This is now jack’s 3rd event and he has already improved from his first event so i’m sure he will improve again in this event! He has more knowledge of the games now and with such an experienced team i’m sure he will have no problems! He’s a really solid player and i think he’ll do really well on this team.

GREEN GUARDIANS
I think this will be a very entertaining pov to watch! Statistically this is the worst team (not including the simmers) and i think this is likely due to to sapnap’s incredible performance last mcc - it’s his turn to try to do the same with a slightly more nerfed team. It will be very interesting to see how he does on a team without a partner like dream or punz. I think this is the first time he’ll have to take the role of the leader on his own and providing he gets to know oli and rtgame a little before the event, i think he’ll do well at it. He already knows sylvee very well and i think they’ll play well together. Sylvee is a very very good support player and i this could be a really food event for her. Oli has also been practicing a lot recently and i think this will probably be one of his best events yet. If anything, this team will do well at HITW!! I don’t know a lot about RTgame as he took a break after mcc 7 but i believe he was a pretty solid player back when he did play and he has teamed with both sylvee and oli before so i have no doubt this team will get along great! I think if Sapnap takes his leadership role into his stride and his teammates can all perform at their best this team could definitely place in the top 5! However, i think it would definitely be a challenge and i think it’s more likely that this team will place lower.

CYAN CREEPERS

This team is going to dominate in movement based games like parkour tag (or PW if it happens to come back this event) and HITW (nobody is forgetting the three pete or pearl’s aussie ping anytime soon!) Pete is pretty unarguably the best mcc player of all time. The only time this man has been out of the top 5 is when he had to quit halfway through the event and placed 41st (pete F tier arc tbh). He has placed first 5 times, meaning he and quig have placed first on a third of the events so far each. He is especially good at movement games and also a force to be reckoned with in pvp games. He doesn’t really have a weak game and is also a very very good leader and team player. He is also usually challenged with a fairly weak team and yet his team has only placed below 5th twice. He has been in dodgebolt 8 times and can clearly carry any team to do very well. He also has preston on his team this time. Preston is a god at parkour and won mc monday with vikkstar when mc monday was a thing. He did ridiculously well for his first mcc last time, placing 12th despite next to no practice and getting off a plane only hours prior to the event. It would surprise me if he didn’t do even better this event! He and pete have also known each other for years so i’m sure they will communicate really well. This cracked duo also have the support of pearl and spifey. Pearl is, in my opinion, a very underrated mcc player and even placed 11th individually and therefore made dodgebolt before. She will be a really amazing support player for sure. Spifey has only been in mcc twice so i’m very sure he will improve this event with the help of pete and his team.

AQUA AXOLOTLS

I am so so excited for this team’s dynamic. There are so many iconic duos and this is such a fun group of people. Fundy has met both tubbo and 5up irl now and they are all such good friends and know each other so well that i have no doubt that they will have incredible communication as well as being a very fun pov to watch. Fundy and tubbo both fall into the underrated category for me. Fundy has placed in the top 10 more than he’s placed outside of it and tubbo has gone from being a 15th-25th player to placing around 10th and i have no doubt that he will continue to prove himself, especially on a team like this. They are both incredible all round players and although i think this team will likely turn to fundy to lead them, it will be an interesting dynamic because there is absolutely no weak link on this team - they’re all really good players and i think they have the potential to place very high and even win the event. The only reason they’re not placed higher for me is that fundy and tubbo can be very chaotic, especially around their close friends and despite 5up and ant being pretty cracked, they are both still new to the event. However, i do believe that ant will perform similarly to, if not better than his first event and there is zero doubt in my mind that 5up will be in the top 20 this event. They both have SO much potential and if they can both show that this event this could easily be a winning team.

BLUE BATS

The simmers are back !!!! everyone’s favourite ‘for fun’ team is making their return this mcc and i am so excited! Despite having only ever placed 9th or 10th in the event, the simmers always go into mcc with the same enthusiasm and great mindsets and i have a lot of respect for that! They pioneered the wool rush strat in battle box and i think it would be very fun if they caught out some teams with it again. I believe a couple of them have also had a lot more practice with minecraft since their last event and so i can see this being their best event yet!

PURPLE PANDAS

This team is way too cracked. Scott smajor giving himself the best team yet again! (/j ofc scott smajor my beloved) Fruitberries can make any team great but a team like this doesn’t even really need him to perform better than anyone else to be good. That being said, fruit is easily an S tier player and is just ridiculously good at minecraft. He had an off day last event but i have no doubt he’ll be back to popping off this time! He’s so scary to face in pvp and insane at movement games, now being known as the one to follow in tgttosawaf, sometimes to his own detriment (give the man some room i stg). Scott is also a pretty underrated player. He’s very very good at build mart and especially at space race ;) but is generally just an amazing all rounder. He has placed really high before and i think he likely will again. He’s also the only person to have been on every colour team so that’s an automatic advantage. I think if build mart is played later on in the event this team will be pretty unbeatable, because not only do they have scott, they also have grian! Mr dreamslayer! Grian is a very good leader in build mart and a very solid support player in every other game. With a pvp player like fruit on his team i don’t think he’’ struggle with pvp games either so i see him doing very well this time. Joel is also very underrated! He has been known to place very high with a good team around him, even making the top 10 before. I don’t know a lot about his gameplay but i know he will be a great team player, as long as he has a dry keyboard. This is such a dangerous team.

PINK PARROTS

I could not be more excited for this team !!! i have been hoping for a seapeekay x dream duo for a long time now and they have been talking about wanting to team as well so i am so happy they finally get to!! Both of them are similar in that they put a lot of work into practicing for the event and also helping their teammates to improve. They both have a lot of knowledge about the event and between them probably spend more time on the practice server than some other teams combined. Dream is obviously cracked. He is insane at pvp and obviously movement games like parkour tag (manifesting we get PW back because this team would do so well). Recently he hasn’t done as well at games like ace race and TGTTOSAWAF but i think he will likely do a lot better at them this event! Seapeekay is probably the most dedicated mcc player out there. He has improved SO much and finally made top 10 last event!! Will he place 11th or 17th? Maybe, but that’s okay, we forgive him. He puts so much practice time in and is an incredible right hand man. I think he and dream will work incredibly well together. And another player that will work really really well with dream is bad. They’ve obviously known each other for years and are very close, and also play the game together a lot. It’s been shown last event that dream works well with someone who can tell him off when he’s being too aggressive in games and i think bad is the perfect person to do this! I know dream has already started training bad (and the rest of the team) for this event, because despite being very good at minecraft, he didn’t perform as well as people would have expected last time he was in. i think with more knowledge of the games and people like dream and callum guiding him he will do a lot better this time! If build battle is played i think he would do really well at it and he’s already very decent at pvp and movement games, was just lacking game knowledge. I don’t know as much about f1nn5ter but i am very excited that he’s on this team!! He’s teamed with callum 2 of the 3 times he’s played in the event so will clearly get along well with him! I’m also very excited for his BBH cosplay - i’m sure it will be stunning! He has consistently improved since joining the event so i’m sure the upward trend will continue! He’s missed a few events now so i believe this will be a great comeback! It physically hurts me to place this team so low, and in any other event they’d be placed a LOT higher, but in an event like this with so many ridiculously cracked teams, it’s hard to place them very high. I do however have faith that they can outperform expectations and i will likely be watching this pov so will be rooting for them to do great! PP winners pov? You never know!
