They probably both recognize the species associated with the smell and the danger they pose, and are more cautious if the smell is fresh.

i held my gfs blue tegu, got his scent all over me, then held my gfs ball python.

that python thought it was gonna die cus i smelled like tegu. i felt so bad.

she curled up into a ball with her head in the center and her body on the outside.

thats why they call em ball pythons. maul my body not my face lmao

by ball i mean like a 3D sphere. she was terrified i never seen her do it before then.

My bearded dragon once caught sight of my boa as I was handling him on the other side of the room. Instant fully black beard, frantic scrabbling, immediate attempts to dig through the glass. Poor guy, took him a while to calm down.

yea my gfs pets are awesome cus she has a dog, cat, python, tegu and chameleon

the dog cat and tegu all hang out together.

python can hang out with dog but no others

chameloen can hang with dog but no others

her dog is friendly. cats too murdery but tegu is too big to murder now. she used to lunge at the tegu when he was smaller

This reminds me of the conflict over Hans Island.

Disputed between Canada and Denmark, they each visit the island, put up their respective flag and leave a bottle of Canadian/Danish whisky for the opposing side to then come and reciprocate.
