What’s up with the “fuck around and find out” flag? Is it the liberal version of the “don’t tread on me” flag?

So I’ve seen this flag in a lot of liberal areas of the Internet but is it the liberal version of the don’t tread on me flag? Maybe because alligators eat snakes and I’ve seen it on alot of pride flags idk anybody know the Origin.

Edit: thank you to everybody for your answers it seems like it’s used by both sides but it’s mostly a left leaning parody

It's not liberal, it's an authleft/tankie thing.

I'm pretty sure it's not meant to be a tankie thing, but of the three people I know that use it, all three are tankies, so there's a lot of overlap
