Do need a GPU for a plex server Help

Hello There,

I'm gonna install a plex server on my home server, Is a GPU recommended to stream video and movies? If so, please let me know in what cases I would need it in?

EDIT: this is a 2u rackmount server system from a data center originally

Download 264s and not 265s. Direct stream is gonna be a lot smoother than transcoding.

I have my Plex server running in a virtual machine, so the gpu is the standard virtual box one. Operating system Ubuntu server

Stream 10bit 4K movies no problems.
