What gets me in this isn’t her dumb speech, it’s the applause she gets after making the dumb speech

These always remind me of that Rick and Morty meme: "Your boos mean nothing, I've seen what makes you cheer."

Same thing Ricky Gervais said hosting oscars or something like that ā€œI’ve seen what makes you laugh, I don’t careā€, as he made a joke the celebrities found mean

I believe it was a either a Weinstein or Epstein joke. He said ā€œI know he’s your friend, I don’t care.ā€

He savagely called errrrrrbody out for brown nosing Weinstein for decades

Good on him. These same people talking about women's rights and #MeToo, when they knew what Weinstein was doing the whole time and ignored it. And these same people still praise Roman Polanski, even though he fled the country over a decade ago to avoid being arrested for raping a 13 year old.

Hollywood's phony. But I guess when you make a career from acting, it's easy to act like you care.

I mean, he can afford to piss anyone off. Jane will fly economy as much as it takes for that to always be an option!

It was Epstein and I LOVED IT. He said something like ā€œpls kill me, like Epstein didn’t do to himself. I know he’s your friend but I just don’t care.ā€

It was abt Epstein, and it would have been equally funny if it were abt Weinstein lol

I remember Tom Hanks looking kind of offended after that joke.

You remember wrong. He looked like he wasn't enjoying the show in multiple reaction shots but there was no reaction shot of him following that joke and he looked disapproving before the joke was made.

Which, yeah makes sense. It was an edgy set. His famous reaction face was after Gervais told the actors to not make a big speech when they get the award and then fuck off the stage. Gervais also made a joke about Judi Dench lifting her own leg and eating her pussy but getting a furball because she's old school. Everyone makes out like he did this whole speaking truth to power thing but he made one reference to Epstien. And all the reaction shots showed people laughing at that, they felt safe from that one. Didn't cut them at all.

It was bread and circuses for us the peasants. Call me when he gets up on that stage and doesn't make any jokes but just reads the list of names who were on the lolita express on live television.

Haha it’s the Golden Globes he did, and I mostly solely watched the few he hosted because I just love his energy.

As a Nashville native before I moved to Texas, yeah yeah, frying pans and fire come to mind, where she is at is a bit strange politically . It's fairly blue there but the people with money and I mean money with lots of 0s behind the comma, are red which means that if voter turnout is even decent it swings centrist to left but the people that show up to those meetings make a pretty big impact on how it's run cause they have da cash and connections

That’s an amazing line!

It's weird to hear that speech pattern but not trying to get you to sign up to sell kelp wraps or some tiny bottles of different oils that made all my cooking taste like shit!

God damn that was a good line

Out of the two the one I can't really see Dan Harmon doing it just for the money.
