Different states and different counties are basically their own mini countries when it comes to applying laws. I’m not saying there isn’t police corruption, but comparing 2 cases in 2 different states can have wildly different results regardless of who the suspect or victim is.
True even at the city level. Example cops where I live treat you based on what city you live in via skin color. There’s a lot of POC living in affluent cities in my county. One of my friends is white and had a Long Beach address and got the whole vehicle searched and treated like trash vs me being Mexican with a black friend in the car and we both had a local address and got a warning for running a red light
