Ethernet in all rooms?

Hi reddit.

I have no intention of buying a new built house, however I would really like ethernet ports in all rooms if possible. Any tips when window-shopping for a home to find houses that would have this feature?

Is there a certain year that this becomes more common? It feels so useless to see phone jacks in all rooms but not ethernet ports.
