Why do people bring a mute for wall denial? Question

It seems kind of odd to me, his jammers don’t cover the entire wall and they don’t destroy the breaching device.

They do cover the entire wall if you do it properly. So mute could technically jam up 8 reinforced walls which is better than bandit/kaid. I think his pick rate is higher because he simply has a superior loadout to Bandit/Kaid. I don’t think people are specifically choosing him because he is the best at wall denial, because he is not. But he’s the best gunner, (because of primary and secondary, mp7 is a beast I know) best info denial, counters twitch and Flores, makes it easier to impact trick from distance if you have points on + mute. There’s a lot of cool spots like Oregon basement def when you put the Jammer on the washer and it denies the entire laundry stairs from drones. Consulate has a few too.

All of this, and can also remodel site with the shotgun.

Yeah exactly. At high level you need smoke or mute for the rotates and foot holes etc, you save impacts for tricking. So a guy with a shotgun is pretty essential, frost filled that gap but her pick rates tanked since losing the 1.5.

Tachanka is very viable now he has a shield along with his destructive mg although he's always outpicked by smoke simply because he's a 1 speed

Yeah he’s definitely a smoke replacement, and that’s obviously why they changed his rotate making ability. Because that’s a big bonus for smoke it makes sense for him to have it too.
