Anyone think there was a better way to buff fuse? Discussion

I think that making his cluster charger shootable (for below play, less exposure, more flexibility in general) would have been a better and less game-changing buff than reinforced walls. Thoughts?

I don’t think he is going to change at all. He obviously can’t charge an electrified wall or muted wall, so he’s not just going to be a sure way to enter a breach. Furthermore the delay and the sound gives off such a warning that he’s not going to net any kills going through reinforced walls unless you somehow manage to catch Echo/Maestro sat on a cam or something. So yeah he’s going to be used for vertical plays on very specific maps just like he was last week. Kafe Dostoyevsky Kitchen, Coastline Kitchen, Maybe workshop on Border but yeah that’s about it. He’s pretty strong at covering a defuser plant from above or destroying site utility, so if he is ever picked, he’s still going to fulfil those roles. Why would I waste a charge on one of those mentioned site walls when I can just go above and be 10x more effective?

Unless your in a low rank and you take fuse on top floor attacks and put them on Barricaded doors and shit, he’s not going to be picked any more, and his role is not going to change the odd time he is picked.

There are a few places where cluster charging a reinforced hatch can be huge. moto and blue hatches on club house. Oregon meeting and freezer hatches. Chalet wine hatch. Bank hatches. It gives you a way to pressure defenders out of their positions that can't be done by merely opening the hatch.

Otherwise I agree vertical play with soft ceilings has always been Fuze's strongest suit but requires deep map knowledge for what sites and angles are best for him.

They’re destructible though right? And they give quite a warning. So in high elo id imagine they’re shot out pretty quick in those High traffic areas like Kitchen hatch on Club. But yeah I didn’t really think about the application of hatches, it does increase his fusing range quite substantially.
