I really like the new supportive trend that’s happening towards the SEC and Gary Gensler. Being watchful, critical and polite is our best course of action towards better markets and MOASS Opinion 👽
Think about it. The SEC has been absent from the fight for better markets for a long time and now there is a new sheriff in town. By participating in the creation of new rules via commenting and interaction we can be part of the solution. Shitadel an friends act in shadows, we Act in daylight. We should represent the future as we seek it to be. Be respectful and Gary Gensler will see us as an ally in the quest for fairer markets.
By doing so he will also make the Hedgies bleed harder and eventually cause MOASS. 😎👍🏻
TLDR: Gary Gensler deserves the benefit of the doubt and we can be part of the solution for better markets. MOASS is only denied by bad players. Change for better markets helps MOASS happen sooner I believe.

Have a team of 30,000 government employees dedicated to synthesizing reddit style of corruption investigation. With each tier the data iterations become more concise and formal. Until the final paper is presented to the courts for prosecution.

Apes have given him the DD. I feel like new DD is just so much noise. Some of it is honest ape work. But shills be shillin’ and DD is what they do (along with crime). GG has all he needs. And I’m pretty sure RC has a team of brilliant players. Did apes ever figure out anything before he did? He’ll help the SEC from here. We need to help him. Leave the GME subbles and take out a megaphone. Now is the time for OWS 2.0 - now virtual. Activist mindset. Get the megaphones and spotlights out. Tell the world what we know. Get their attention. Inform them. Tell them the true crime story.

Exactly! He's responsible for the whole market. Every stock every rule every rule. Can't be mad at him for not watching the bloomberg terminal specifically for put positions on GME exactly at that time when the brazilians showed up for example.
With that kind of responsibility SEC depends on issues being reported.
I'm swedish, in sweden we trust our state departments etc at very high levels compared to the rest of the world. Perhaps that plays a part in my take here.
But we reported this issue to our SEC. And then they dealt with it. Since it becomes public info afterwards they can't deny they knew about it. And many reports means it affects a lot of citizens. I say just go for it give Gensler a shot. 100 000 reports on similar issues puts pressure on them, reminds them of who they work for. The people!
Even if you doubt it'd work it's something that you actually can try to do to create a fair market. And there's been good example texts posted that can just be copy pasted.
Edit:
In sweden we reported the issue of not being allowed to vote. After enough noise and amounts of complaints which are public information. Then the silence quickly turned to action.

The SEC knows that eyes from around the world are watching. If the Market fundamentals are found to be unfair or to be being exploited by MM and HFs with illegal or unlegislated activity?
There will be an exodus of Foreign money from the US markets.
Pension funds and institutions will lead the way in a flight of capital from the markets. Gensler needs to protect both the reputation, integrity and trust in the market itself. Aswell as ensuring that the SEC is effective and trusted by participants as a fair arbiter and above all as putting the investor at the centre of their enforcement process.
It is the investor who places capital in the markets, the derivative markets interrupt that flow for zero benefit to the companies or to actual shareholders. That SHFs play the market and legally obliterate shareholder value is an affront.

My personal theory is that GG number one knows that moas is eventually happening and that the markets are inevitably going to crash as well, much in part due to how broken our financial system is, all the loopholes and how pervasive manipulation is and he wants to at least be able to say that he made some attempts before the fit hits the shan.

Amazing DDs have been made and our wrinkle brains discovered some amazing and helpful stuff, also helpful for the SEC, that has to go public. I’m really glad that we have this community. Cheers

As always, the healthiest approach is a balance of rigid skepticism and total benefit of the doubt. Like every other representative of public interest, he should be held to a high standard to protect all investors. He should also be viewed as a human being who, until proven otherwise, is doing his job to the best of his ability. Hedgies, Wall Street types, and bankers are vilified for being soulless (rightfully so most of the time), so let’s be part of bringing humanity back into this process!

I mean yeah, being polite is super important and you should always do it, but you know what else is important? Doing your fucking job as the SEC whether people are polite to you or not. Pretty please punish the people responsible for manipulating and over leveraging our entire financial system, enriching themselves unfairly at the expense of retail investors, and then ensure the same destructive practices won't just continue like nothing happened like they did after the 2008 collapse?
Oh and maybe please stop you and your friends from getting cushy conflict of interest jobs at hedge funds when you leave your role in the SEC, thereby better enabling them to skirt regulations?

Bureaucracy, paperwork, red tape, the government has a lot of steps and even someone wanting to push change has to work through the system. The SEC is rotten to the core and Gensler is basically having to revamp an entire federal agency that was pacified with wall street money and porn for years.

I work in state government, in a fairly high level position in my dept. Your new head of enforcement is from our state, and he is the real deal. Solid reputation. For Gensler, Do not mistake his silence for ignorance. The man taught blockchain tech at MIT, if I recall. He is brilliant. A politically-oriented man, no doubt, but he is extremely aware of the world of finance.
He wouldn't say much if an ongoing investigation were taking place, especially if criminal charges were coming. We have terrible communication security, because hedgies can read everything we say. He has to maintain a tighter poker face.
I have faith.

Always ok to light a fire up a politician's or government worker's ass. Some things to keep in mind are: 1. Gary Gensler promised to deliver a thorough investigative report on January's events to Congress by "end of summer". I believe much will come out of that report. IMO, and it is just my opinion, RH rushed IPO because they need money for lawyer's fees and fines. Also, RH does not have $$ like Fidelity or Vanguard. They have almost as many traders, but not the amount of investments or cash. It ain't cheap addressing all of these regulatory violations and paying fines. More will be revealed. 2. The SEC is controlled by five "Commissioners". Gary is the only newly appointed Commissioner. The other four are leftovers from the previous administration, turning a blind eye to enforcing regulations benefitting the retail trader and strengthened hedgies. These Commissioners have not been replaced as the Senate needs to hold confirmation hearings and vote to confirm. There are other matters, mostly related to COVID and infrastructure funding, that have had higher priority than confirming the new Commissioners. Gary can only do so much when the deck is filled against him. 3. Grassroots advocacy has been the backbone of our country. As a lifelong advocate, occasional lobbyist for children's mental health issues, I've witnessed and even been a leader of systemic change by way advocacy. We cannot be quiet. We shouldn't be hateful. But, don't trust or put complete faith in Gary or the U.S. government, ever. Be loud, just do it effectively.

u/Moose_Canuckle 🦍 Buckle Up 🚀 Jul 30 '21
The only reason he’s making this public is because it affects the economy/market as a whole. He’s not doing it to help retail out. Once this debacle is closed/done with, it’s back to business as usual for the SEC and co.

u/SEQVERE-PECVNIAM Jul 30 '21
Same here, I like it a lot.
I've been going nuts over why people would believe it's a good idea to antagonize the SEC. My comment history will speak for itself.
This doesn't mean people can't be critical or skeptical. The situation asks for it, however, whenever you disagree with their approach (which I do plenty), full-sentence civil criticism is the only way to go. Even if it concerns politicians, FINRA or the DTCC, then it's still likely better to go with the civil approach to criticism.
Insults and such just serve to make you feel better, but don't achieve anything in a best-case scenario.

Any pro Gary Gensler post is a marketing campaign pumped out by the SEC itself.
For two months, this fool got trashed on a daily basis in the last week I have seen more pro Gary posts then I ever have. I know a goddamn commercial when I see one. It’s a full on out marketing assault. This dude’s job was already in jeopardy and so his PR firm told him that he had to do something and quick.
You know, I thought it was fucking disgusting that people could be bought to trash the stock in our movement and they would actually do it but I’m even more disgusted now.

It was standard and then one day the dude pumped out 10 separate posts praising Gary and the SEC. You don’t just change your mind and jump on somebody’s dick like that. You only pump out posts when you’re passionate or getting paid. Plus the obvious bots on Twitter help give it away.

Why all this sucking up to the SEC? Gamestop, the company, is the one who should be complying with their fiduciary duties and putting a stop to the manipulation in order to protect their shareholder's assets. This SEC crap is just whitewashing bullshit designed to move our focus away from the GME's failure to act.
As discussed by Wes Christian in the Superstonk AMA:
Firms that are aware of the fuckery, have solid evidence of the fuckery, and do nothing to stop it are, in fact, breaching their fiduciary duty to their shareholders. And they are ripe for class action lawsuits by those same shareholders for their failure to address the issues.

We as shareholders should be posting this sub's best DD as whistleblower complaints to the SEC. And by best I mean DD directly connected to GME, not the bigger picture things.
