GME shorts are preparing themselves for the biggest bull run in history Opinion 👽
If you and your SHF buddies were short GME to an absurd degree and you've illegally coordinated with them to suppress the price (and continue to) while being at the center of SEC and possibly DOJ investigations, you'd want the chart to look the way it does since early June.
You and your buddies might have learned that the tricks you've employed for over a decade don't work on GME anymore. No more stop-loss hunting, no more spoofing, and no more bullshit news stories about GME being a dying brick and mortar store.
Your only hope is to slowly, painstakingly, and continously short GME with the last bit of breathing room GMEs 5 million share offering gave you and your buddies. You might make a little money in the process, but what's a few million barely profitable shorts compared to the hundreds of millions of shares that will eventually need to be bought back.
This will be the last chance to get the price as low as possible in the most organic-looking way possible before GME reveals its crypto plans - you and your buddies death knell.
However, your approach doesn't solve the biggest issue you've had all along...the lower the price is, the more that individual investors will buy-in.

there is a sweet spot for the price. too high and margin requirements are too cumbersome - too low and retail has more power. the more they drop it, the more at risk they are.
the price went sideways around ~$138-$180 for months before the last run. that should inform your opinion.

I don't think it's possible for any of them to cover of their own volition. I think they were fucked at $40, so how can they cover at current prices?
I have nothing to back this up, it's just conjecture, but I think the only way any of them can cover is through forced liquidation.

I think it might hold 140 support, i really dont think it goes below 120-125 if it breaks down.

I was thinking about this sort of thing earlier today. If I held a bunch of GME shorts right now, I'd be terrified of tanking the price. I'd also be terrified of a spike. Both of these scenarios can trigger FOMO buying.
Consider this, too. One of the core reasons I hold GME is because I think it's a fantastic long term play. SHFs are trying to convince me otherwise. "Look how it just keeps draining down. It's not a good long term play. Better get out while you still have money!" Heh. Bugger off. I lost my job this week; HODLing is my best bet at never having to beg for work ever again.
Footnote: yeah, I lost my job. No, I don't need sympathy or assistance. I work in IT, there's plenty of jobs out there to hold me over til MOASS. I just can't increase my position until I get a new job, so do me a favor and buy the dip for me! (Not financial advice)

Between a rock and a hard place. They will eventually have to sell, and the SEC is actively setting traps (new regualtions) to shut down price manipulation devices. Plus, the lower it goes, the more the apes buy. For them to get out of this, it has to go to zero really fucking quick; or else all available synthetic shares are gobbled up before they can get to them; which grows the problem.
Their best bet was back in late Jan, they should have let it run then. Back then 500 to a thousand was the floor. Now it's 40 million and growing.
TLDR; shorties are fukt, and the longer this goes the more apes show up for the gangbang.

So, two topics we can't talk about here but I do have tinfoil hat theory that does relate so bear with me.
The coin community has almost proof that RH is using their customers coins to be lent out. You don't have a wallet with RH, it's a shared wallet. All you have is numbers on an app. They lend it for 5k a day (spitballing numbers) and when a customer wants to sell, they just pay out the $50. Not everyone is going to sell at once and you have no proof that you ever even had the coin. It's a win-win for RH and impossible to 100% verify. I wasn't 100% sure till he sold on ipo day. Yea he's sketchier than I wanted to believe.
If you were getting 75% of your income from one man, would you not commit more crime to get paid more. You look at the numbers on paper.. a 20% so squeeze maybe get to $500. So for much more per day, your loan out customer shares. Keep the numbers in the app the same so customers don't know. SHF get more shares they don't need to mark. Keep borrow rate low, don't alert SEC or FBI... But its not just RH, there's a dozen or so just as bad as RH that are paid by citadel

With how many shorts are still out there, if they chose to cover now they'd be screwing themselves because they'll have to buy back shares to the point where they go bankrupt with no chance of a bailout.
Their first tactic back in the first half of the year was to simply keep shorting the company and diving it down to not only get investors out of it, but also hold Wall Street hostage (i.e. if you let the MOASS happen, you're all coming down with us because of how many more shares we're shorting!)
Then the DTCC, SEC, FINRA, and other financial regulators, knowing how diamond-handed GME investors were and how many of us there were across the globe, knew that a MOASS was an inevitability. So they instead passed a slew of new regulations to make sure that the shorters wouldn't be able to keep holding the financial world hostage and that nothing like GME would never happen again.
And this spelt doom for the financial regulators (i.e. RIP DUMBASS).
So now all they can do is spread as much FUD and commit psychological warfare against core GME groups to somehow achieve that 0.01% chance that everyone holding GME sells and they get out of their short positions.
I mean, think about it; isn't it a coincidence that the corrupt mods came forward and started drama the moment after all the new regulations were finalized?
That's all hedge funds can do now; somehow convince millions of investors across the globe that GameStop is garbage and sell...
Yeah... not happening...

Their only play is dragging this shit out and boring us to death. As soon as GME rallies again it makes up for the "losses" (in terms of price decline) and our FOMO-friends jump back in.
It's a waiting game. All we need to do is not sell. Meanwhile RC and the new management are building up a new GME.
