Probably feels like taking a shoe that doesn’t fit right all day and you finally get to take it off.

Hell yes. I have what I'd consider a good life so far but I can't wait for the sweet embrace of death

u/PabloAlaska6 Jun 17 '22

u/StandardOnly Jun 17 '22

You wont be there to witness it sadly.

u/Erikthered24ny Jun 17 '22

I don’t like that I feel that way sometimes, but yes.

3

u/Tycho923 Jun 17 '22

Yes that day can't come soon enough

I'm really the embrace death Siren Song and stop this loop of pain and taxes.

2

u/Yezzzzzzzzzzzz Jun 17 '22

Hell yeah, tons of it.

u/Flipper_1703 Jun 17 '22

On some days it‘s relieving, on others it’s scary/more depressing. It just really depends on my mood and my stress levels

u/DiekeDrake Jun 17 '22

It's the single most thing that's absolutely certain in life.

3

u/OutrageousPudding450 Jun 17 '22

Don't forget the taxes.

2

u/ApeMayor Jun 17 '22

Not at all, it terrifies me.

2

u/Crazy-Pilot2894 Jun 17 '22

More so every day.

As bad as it sounds that's what I live for, I'm living for my death to come doesn't matter how it comes it's an experience I crave.

Yes, in the middle of the day I count the hours thats left for my bed time.

With the way the world’s going these days, and the way it has been going for the past, idk, 27 or so months? Yes.

If you had asked me this question prior to March 2020, my answer would have likely been different. Or at least more equivocal.

This sub has become a suicidal haven of mental illness and suicidal club. Get help and seek therapy’s. Stop posting it here. I understand you’re unhappy and other things but this isn’t the place. Don’t fucking listen to people, it’s not expensive and there are many, many different therapists out there who can help. If the first doesn’t work try another. Stop coming here and posting it, this is not the sub for it.

Everybody is going that way to end his life, Knowing or not knowing won't change special things, My point: Live your life and enjoy and Love people. Do the best even that day is not your best day.

U guys good?

U okay bro?

1

u/LoneShark81 Jun 17 '22

Personally Im good...when I was younger and I would get super stressed in my teens I would try to calm myself and tell myself one day this will all be over...Not like I wanted to die but I tried to think of my problems as meaningless in the big scheme of things since we all are leaving this life at some point

1

u/proudcatowner19 Jun 18 '22

I'm not at all... but I'm trying to be💯💔

1

u/FruityLoren Jun 17 '22

Yes. (No I'm not depressed/emo brocken) I'm genuinely happy with life but I'm just happy to know that it will end one day.

I am scared of death 99% of the time because it is extremely unknown and unfathomable, but sometimes when I find myself fretting about unimportant things I do think about it and the weight of anxiety lifts off.

Nope, quite the opposite.

I know my time here is limited and I very often blame myself for not enjoying it more while I can.

I'm scared shitless of dying, because it will make me miss out on so many things, especially how humanity will evolve.
My only consolation would be if we can retain consciousness and wander. I'd travel the whole universe and come back to Earth every once in a while to check up on humanity.

I do.I feel so relieved that one day,it will all be over.

1

u/Recent_View6254 Jun 17 '22

Yup. I mean im happy that I get to live life (sometimes), but I can't wait to die

1

u/whymeohlord Jun 18 '22

Well since I have Advanced Non- Hodgkin's Lymphoma I am eagerly waiting for the day and I am okay with that.

1

u/pppp2222 Jun 18 '22

Yep. Don't wanna die young, don't wanna live forever either.

1

u/pay-this-fool Jun 18 '22

I’m not sure if relieving is the word I’d use. But I don’t worry at all about death. If I died today I’d be ok with it. I’ve had a good run and no running list of things yet to do.

1

u/Hot_Possibility_9486 Jun 18 '22

hopefully it'll be soon that I die lol

1

u/Common_Appearance Jun 18 '22

Absolutely. I love being alive, and I enjoy my life. But stories end, and part of the way you really experience their beauty is for them to be finished. Since I don't believe in an afterlife at all, im not afraid of it any more than I was afraid of my non existence before I was born.

1

u/Key-Ad-2854 Jun 18 '22

Yes. Knowing how temporary everything is helps me be more decisive. I figure that if I do the wrong thing, it won't matter forever.

1

u/HungryAccount1704 Jun 18 '22

To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.

1

u/EspressoOntheRock Jun 18 '22

Relief only if it is unhappy and painful. If calm and natural, for me...it would be just a sense of acceptance.

1

u/blosd Jun 18 '22

I do. I do not want to live forever.

1

u/JlTlS Jun 18 '22

I'm not afraid of dying, but I want to live as long as I can. Does it matter whether you accomplish everything? All that will be left of you is memories. Try to make some good ones for those you leave behind.

1

u/MyOvariesRJudgingU Jun 18 '22

This is called a passive death wish. Please seek counseling and possible medication, it could improve the quality of your life.

1

u/DenTheRedditBoi7 Jun 18 '22 edited Jul 07 '22

Quite the opposite. Stresses me the heck out and that's why I'm being cryogenically frozen when I die.

1

u/carolisbomb Jun 18 '22

Yes.

Death only upsets me when I consider that the people I love will also have to die some day , possibly before I get a chance too.

1

u/jaysaysjello Jun 18 '22

No because morticians molest/rape bodies way too much, genuine fear of mine. Yeah you’re dead but sheesh.

1

u/bebe2109 Jun 18 '22

I would feel relief if I knew when- I dont want it to happen abruptly Id need to say my goobyes and plan around it

1

u/LumenYeah Jun 18 '22

I have no plans to off myself, but I find comfort in knowing that it’s an option.

1

u/Electricpillow Jun 24 '22

I can’t wait for that day. Haha. My kid keeps me going, and keeps me from making that day sooner.
