The entire problem with the war has been that we were attempting to be police officers and the rules of engagement didn’t allow us to do what we set out to.
I’m not saying we should have wholesale taken out out military aged males, but if we wanted to win the war we needed to have more freedom to operate than we did.
The only time I see the US doing that will be if someone tries to invade North America, or the interests of NATO.
