Something similar happened to my friends father. He was on a ventilator (non-Covid related) and they decided he was doing "good enough". They took him off and basically told her he'd be able to get his tests and be home by the weekend.
He died that night, and my friends last memories of her father alive is covered in nurses, alarms blaring, and basically being carried to the lobby.
They later openly admitted they needed the ventilator and his room for COVID patients.
I'm so sorry this happened to your friend. Isn't this basically malpractice though? They just traded one person who could have lived with that ventilator for a covid patient who needed it.
OMG! That is awful. Like everyone else here, I'm feeling sick of these unvaxxed COVID patients screwing everyone else.
I'm so sorry for your friend's loss. I can't imagine...
