What is an anime where you genuinely don't understand why it is as popular as it is? Discussion
For example, while I personally might dislike SAO, I can totally see why it's as popular as it is. It has a pretty cool premise, great animation and music, a harem element that probably resonates well with the target audience etc.
But what's an anime that is decently popular, but you just can't figure out why it's as popular as it is?
Edit: Guys, if you're gonna ad "I can see why it's popular, but..." just don't post lol. This isn't supposed to be about what you personally dislike.

Really? I'm at about episode 70 after watching it off and on for a couple years and the episodic nature is what I've appreciated the most. I can pick up where I left off after a six month break and it will still be enjoyable because I'm not left in the middle of some enormous arc with no memory of what's going on.
I've eventually dropped Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece, over the years just because I don't have the time to keep up, but I can see myself sticking with Gintama through to the end
