I started with the Harry Potter series I so desperately wanted to read as a child and flew through them. I always loved books but found reading through the same page 4-5 times daunting. With this font paired with the dark mode option, I’ve even read an entire 345 book in one day!
Dyslexia prevented me from fully absorbing the material. Now I’m whisked away to whichever world I choose. I never thought I’d ever be able to enjoy reading as I do now. I’m incredibly grateful.
**EDIT: Sorry guys, it gets really busy at 6 am!
I am aware that audiobooks exist. I listen to people talk all day. I can’t listen to two people at once. I’ve tried them and I don’t enjoy them.
There are absolutely studies that show the font DOES NOT help you to read faster, more accurately, or even help at all. This is NOT a remedy for dyslexia.
I’m NOT advertising the font as a cure all. Just stating that with MY Dyslexia it helps ME feel more comfortable. I misread words, skip over entire paragraphs, lose my place frequently, flip letters that look similar, mirror simple words, all the good stuff. I can read and read and read the same page and still feel like I don’t understand.
Theres also more than one form of dyslexia. What makes me feel comfortable might not be comfortable for others. Is it a placebo? Probably! Is a placebo that’s made me more confident while reading? Absolutely. And I’m stil happy with that.
What helps ME to feel more comfortable while reading is the spacing.
“Venice is a city of cats.” “Venice is a city of cats.”
Thicker bottoms and lines on the letters/longer “tails” help me a little bit with flipping and keeping my place. I feel like don’t fixate as long as a did after I grew comfortable with the font. My font size is pretty large as well. I’m a die hard Helvetica fan but I’ve grown to like this more while reading long passages.
As for my spelling thank duck for autocorrect 🦆 **

Man, you write better than most non-dyslexics. Good job to you.
